View Full Version : Pump handle milling- INUT PLEASE (*pics*)
Hey guys,
I've got a "friend" who offered services to mill out a bunch of stuff for a phantom and my pump handle is one of them. Originally I wasn't going to bring this up and have this be a little "suprise", but I figured it would only be better with a little input from you guyses ;)
Anyway, here's one design which I just finished, mimicking (sp?) the muzzle compensator on the new USP pistol which many of you may have seen toted by a large-breasted brunette bimbo by the name of lara croft :)
Well, here is my adaptation of that.... for the phantom, and I wanted to know if you guys thought it was a good idea, or what you may improve upon. Positive criticism is welcomed.
Here it goes!
or a slightly more "friendly" format- jpeg.
and a more "finished" one- I used a blur effect to blend the colors together- very trick. ;)

I'd say fo with dat...
I was actuall thinking of getting something similar to that done this fall (i think CCI should sell different types, the only one they got now is kinda bland.)
(Oh and hey, if you ever need and picture touch-ups done let me know, i can prob. help. I got a **** load of all that software, that i use for web sties).

actually, I did all of that with MSpaint. Not bad considering it has like NO features... al the shading was done by hand.
I really want adobe photoshop 6.0 but can't near afford it with all these kickash mods :D

Well ren, how fast is your modem ?
You can easily download it off of a file sharing program. Thats what I did . You can even d/l it off of me so for sure theres no viruses ...
Well, I've got cable, so speed isn't really a worry, but I don't want a bunch of viruses on my computer, much less a lawsuit with some company for pirated software...
What do you think of the pump handle?

It looks nice, probably will look a lot better on an actual grip. I really wanna pick myself up a phantom, more specificly a mini phantom .
my friend has a mini phantom.. I really don't like the way it shoots. When you shoot it, the shot feels "sloppy". You know feedback when you shoot it? Well the 6" barrel doesn't have it...
However it is REALLY small, and VERY cool to use- you can fit behind ANYTHING with it. I'm thinking of getting maybe an 8" barrel or soemthing.
And what do you mean it will look a lot better on an actual grip?

the only problem i have phantom pumps in general is that they are made of plastic
i would really enjoy an aluminum pump grip like that or carter style, it may be hard
on your barrel but I just like the feel of a metal pump, does anybody already make
those that I don't know about? regardless a nice design, can you make me one out of aluminum?
I think I have a chunk of t6 that would be sufficient.
thanx,
I'd also love to do something like that, but I just don't have the lira to do it...

CCI used to make aluminum pump handles ano'd to match their regular colors. I'm not sure if they still do. They may still be available from some dealers.
The biggest advantage of the aluminum handles is that they are VERY smooth on the inside, so they just glide over the outer surface of a DYE barrel. But, they add quite a bit of weight since they are solid aluminum and the same dimensions as the plastic handles.
wow I never knew that...
don't forget that I would mill out the handlea good deal, and a stronger material like a luminum would allow me to take off more...
So how long ago did CCI make aluminum pump handles? And Any idea where I can snag one up? Dang sometimes I wish I lived in hawaii...

I started seeing them about a year ago, but now that I think about it, I never saw any online shops advertise them.
I'll check to see if anyone down here has the aluminum pumps. You should also check with the Phantom Owner's Group. http://www.pballcanada.com/phog/index.htm
well if anyone has an alum pump lmk...
I'll check over @ PhOG. Thanks.
