Very small facility. slippery floors. Descent proshop. People are very nice folks. Just not a tourney quailty facility. If you want rec ball then go for sure. But otherwise I wouldn't.

Man you KTB guys sound extremely angry! Could it be because you aren't welcome at our facilities anymore? Funny how the negative reviews didn't come from you guys until you were told you weren't welcome at our facilities anymore! As a matter of fact Jerry, you gave us a great review when we opened! Your guys behavoir and conduct got your team banned from our facilities (sneaking in paint, trying to sneak out of the facilities before paying, bad mouthing less experienced players, over-shooting and wiping, the list could go on, but I think you get the point!). Most of the guys on your team are good kids, and I suspect that they are the ones that moved on to Thrash. But you have some that need to learn to respect other players and the facilities that they play at. We don't exist to cater to people who expect to get something for nothing! We are a business! That is a concept that few of you understand. Do you go to your local restaurants and ask them to let you eat at cost? Do you expect to buy a car at cost at a dealership? Do you go to Walmart and expect them to give you paint at cost (or slightly above). Or provide a marker at 10% over cost? Or provide a facility for you to play in for nothing? I am sure if you ask them, they would be more than happy to provide what you need on your terms. Why would you expect to get somethng for nothing at a paintball shop? You guys wouldn't even ref or provide airsmithing services in return for sponsorship! Even Team Dynasty gives for what they get! What makes KTB special?

The only person who sounds retarded is you when you start running your mouth and using the *N* word. I have never tolerated the kind of language you used at our facilities and will not make exceptions for the ilks of you!

What I enjoy is that you speak about respect and you are discriminating against an entire group of people for what a few did. You do not know half the people on the team, but your experiences with a few have created a biased opinion against all.
The positive experiences you have had with people allow you to make the comment that they must have moved onto Thrash. Therefore in your infinite wisdom, you are saying there is nobody good on KTB.

Well as a businessman I would expect you to deal with your problem customers on an individual basis and not resort to complete discrimination. That really doesn't make you look good in a business sense.

I also like your criticism of KTB and yet KTB-Red won an award for sportsmanship at Ultimate Madness. Interesting.

First of all we are not angry at all. Secondly we had already got together as a team and decided that your paintball field wasnt suited to serve our needs, before you ever banned us from your facilities. Your paintball field is way to small for five and seven man practice. The field is the same size as Ultimate Madness and everyone knows that is extremly small even for three man. I never gave your facility a great review. That is a lie, find the review and prove me wrong i dare you. As for sneaking in paint we did use some of our own paint one time. None of our guys ever sneaked out of Tsunami without paying that im aware of. If they did you never said anything about it until now. We dont bad mouth less experienced players, if anything we try to help them out. As far as over-shooting and wiping goes you are lying again. We were only allowed to play against ourselfs because you said we were to experienced to play any of your other customers. So that is just a stupid comment ,why would we over-shoot and wipe against ourselfs. Yes most of our guys are good kids. Kids being the key word. All kids make mistakes and do things they shouldnt. If you were having problems with the kids, you should have come to me or shawn and told us. You had both of our cards, yet we never got one phone call. We didnt find out about the incident with the "N" word until about 6 weeks ago. When we did find out we suspended that player, in fact he is still suspended until april 30. Everything would have been haldled like that if you would have informed us of it. As far as expecting something for nothing thats a false statement too. We offered to Ref and Airsmith, until you backed out on your part of the deal and you backed out on the deal way before any of this drama started. As far as what tourament teams pay for stuff you know absoulutly NOTHING!!!!! Even beginner/rookie teams buy products at 10% over cost. Me and Shawn have been playing paintball for longer than you have even knew what paintball was and we have never payed over 10% above cost since we have been playing regional and national events. You should have never agreed to a deal if you were going to back out. I am sure glad you did though,because we get paint cheaper than what you agreed to and we get to play real paintball on a real field. Me and shawn (The adults) only played at your field once, this is when a few of our guys brought in their own paint. I took care of it and told them to never do it again. Then you informed us that you had to make more money and tried to give us rec. ball players price on things. We decided not to come back, and we never did. I think thats why you keep telling all these lies and stiring up drama for us. The kids still came to your facility sometimes and may have acted up some, but you never once informed me or shawn of any wrong doing so I dont know what to believe.

Just some friendly advise before you start running your mouth about things you know absoulutly nothing about, go out to some real paintball tournaments talk to some teams ask them what their sponsers do for them, ask them what they pay for things. Tournament players shoot way to much paint to pay your inflated prices. We go though atleast a skid of paint every 45 days. If we payed your prices we wouldnt even be able to play tournaments. Just because you own a paintball field doesn't mean you know about paintball. You ahvent even been around paintball for a year yet, you are still a mega newb yourself and you will never learn anything because you think you already know everything. KTB has nothing to hide, everyone who knows us know you have made false statements and are not really the christian you claim to be. A few of us do have tempers and and most of our players are under 18 so sometimes we do say or do things we dont mean in competition, but that is only our competitive spirit coming out. On the field we are animals, but off the field most people like us. Im not worried about you trying to hurt us with your statements because everyone knows they are ludicrous.

Your facility is probabally great for beginner players to play 1on1, 2on2, or 3on3, but nothing other than that. It is to small , slippery, and expensive for any serious player to get any practice at. In the beginnng i told lots of players to come by and check it out. The ones who did all said the samething I'm saying. There are lots of posts and threads saying the same things. I would be happy to put links to them if you want. I bet you cant find any statements from tournament players saying how great your facility is. I know just about every tournament player around here and none of them go to Tsunami.

We are through with you and have been for a long time. If you wanna keep stiring up trouble go ahead, but your not hurting us. Your only making yourself look more like a liar and less like the good christian man you claim to be.

I went there the same day Willybob did and they are pretty expensive. If you are going to play there just one day it is not competitive and a little unreasonable. They have alot of membership deals though. So if you were going to play there during the week and stuff it would be worth it, but other than that it is too expensive. I have a broshure somewhere, but it is $10 all day air and they fill to a little under 4000 and $7 for just one fill.......The field is ok. It is a little small for 5 man but it is a really good three man. it would definately be short games. I wouldn't mind playing there once though. I am in cookeville now and going to school so yall need to hit me up when yall are gonna play or practice. I will show up.

well from what ive heard from some reliable people is that tsunami aint that great and the prices are crazy high. I tend to agree with fillers on this one, i give it three months.

Fact of the matter is homie, most of us shoot a case or two per practice. We dont sneak around and take pop shots with tippmans n e more, we live by the gun. At 80 dollars per case of paint, practicing sunday AND saturday, and the entry fee / air fee being that high, I hope either you have a very very great job that provide those kinda funds, or someone in your immediate family has them and loves you very very much....And if either is the case, I have a team that is just looking for a full paid sponsorship if your interested LOL j/k.

I know what whitebox costs straight from national...and, take my word for it, it's alot less than 80 dollars per case. If he would lower cost, he would get a bigger customer base, which would actually IMPROVE profit
i played there last weekend with some of my guys off of inebriation and some from ktb, her prices for us was $27 for air and feild fee, and she said "cutting us a deal on paint" was 40 a case, im not going back

Competition would be if Tsunami had "competetive" prices...i.e. decent price on whitebox, and semi decent entry. paintball players that have been playing for more than a few months know the approximate price's of various things, "cutting a break" at 40 bucks for whitebox for teams that dont even pay that for like high end GOOD paint, and nearly 30 dollars for air is crazy. Even if it's indoor. Jared from troopers is opening an indoor next year, and the price's are half of what they are at tsunami...and you can bet your nickers that Jared will know how to set up a field, from what I'v heard the field lay outs at tsunami are only luke warm at best.

Darren-I am not trying to be rude or anything but I have worked at several paintball fields and played at dozens over the past 9 years and there is one thing that has to be for a field to survive and that is return customers. Paintball is an expensive sport to say the least so paintball players are all looking for the best deals.

The field fee is understandable i mean it is an indoor we all know how high the operating cost is for that. but paint prices are a little out of control. On average when we practice we shoot about 20-30 cases. Keeping that in mind it would cost us ~600-700 more dollars to come practice at your field then to go to any other field (not including our sponsors field).

I live here in knoxville and I've been to your field and i think the facility has tons of potential but i think you should have a team practice day where it is byop for a small fee or something along those lines. it is a known fact that Fields don't make much of their money off of tournament players each time they play, we just play so often that it balances out. Where a rec player might play once every 5 weeks and buy 1/2 a case. we are going to play weekly and buy cases at a time so the cost adds up quick.

I am in no way sponsored or affiliated with Knoxville Paintball but Sean will always gives us a price break when we come to play because he knows that competitve players are not going to pay an extra 20 dollars a case, so even though KPS isnt making the full price off of us they are making more than if we didnt come play at all. That's why KPS has kept me as a customer since they first came around 5 or so years ago.

Like I said I'm not trying to knock your business or anything like that but I play ball about 3 times a week and this getting dark at 5 30 is putting a pretty big damper on that and I would love to be able to run drills indoor to all hours of the night but like I said you gotta have some sort of comprimise with the regular customers.

I'd like to hear more about your membership rates/deals so if you wouldn't mind elaborating on that it would help out a ton.

now as far as tsunami is concernd the field sucks the the turf is horrid and when they get sued because some poor rec player breaks his/her neck on it mabye theyll take a look at some real indoor turf i/e ultimate madness and like jerry said theres no way we could have over shot any one of your rec players because not only would the refs not allow them on the field but when they asked us we also told them no that it was not a good idea for them to play with us oh well live and learn and to the guys at tsunami if youd like for your business to live then i suggest that you learn (from your players what they want)

Well, I'm glad this is all over and we can all be friends. Both fields are great..... I'm just getting into speedball and Tsunami was my first speedball field, that's why I like it. I don't know any KTB players, but I think one was at Tsunami about 5 weekends ago? He seemed like a cool guy, a friend and I talked to him. As far as this thread goes, it went on longer than it should've. So I'm glad it's over.......
