Yup, they're manufactured by the same company for Ariakon, & Invincible (though I believe the Delta is a similar design by another company). The first time I saw pics of the overlord a while ago I thought the same thing...

Still the Overlord & Invincible HG both come have some things that set them apart from the Delta 68. They both come with delrin bolts as opposed to the delta 68's metal bolt, they both have different triggers (though somewhat similar), they both have a different valve system which allows for much better air consistancy (we were getting around 30 shots per CO2 cart from my friends Overlord), etc.

Also one of the things the Overlord has that sets it apart from the Invincible HG (besides the different look) is the Rapid Release Magazine System. Just lift up on a pin and slide the magazine off. Once you get the hang of it you can literally change magazines just as fast as a real gun (i.e. just a second or two).

The similarity between the Invincible & Overlord is much the same as the Core ZX Pistol & the Armotech Zues. They look nearly indenticle, but they're distributed by different companies and might have minor differences that set them apart.

One major thing that the Overlord over the Invincible is Ariakon backing. Ariakon has some of the best customer service I have ever delt with, even outside of paintball. Makes the choice pretty obvious to me.

The Delta is made by Psycho Ballistics and its bolt is NOT metal. The only metal part on the bolt is where it comes out into the open where you cock it. It is pretty much 50% delrin and 50% aluminum. I personally liked the delta over my friends original Zeus.

Believe it or not a Delta gets around 50 shots off one CO2 cartrage. The only thing I dont like about it is that it is impossible to get above 250fps. It keeps a pretty decent spread at 50 feet. I was able to keep it tight enough to hit someone's torso without missing at 45-50 feet so that is decent for it.

I am interested in this Overlord though. I know my friends zeus is able to shoot harder than my delta and I am just interested in how well the overlord performs. Delta's are sort of a pain to get them to stop leaking air at first... which was also a problem with the original zues just... not in the same way lol. From what I saw the overlord doesnt leak...

It is hard to sneak up on someone in the woods when you have a hissing sound coming from you :-\

you could ptolly get it over 250 if you installed some stronger springs, and did other thigns.

I put a strong spring in it... it is only at about 250 now.... I would like to get it in the 280-300 range. I need to figure out what to do to get it that high though.

polish internals, add shims to the back of the spring for even more compression, you might have an inefficient bolt seal causing less air to hit the ball then needed.

either that or the Delta makers, made a mistake by thinking players diddn't need a full-power pistol.

they made the comment that it was impossible to get 300fps out of a 12 gram lol Ariakon seems to defy the laws of physics i guess...

who the hell said that?

an idiot who ever it was...

the zeus's normly dont get more than10 shots off a 12 gram cuz they shoot near 400fps out of the box with them

a 12 gram can TOTALLY do more than 300

I once shot 446 off a Brass Eagle Nightmare Pump using a 12 gram...The guy behind me in line at the chrono booth said "Dang! I wish I could get that out of my constant air set up!" (obviously this was some time ago...LOL)

I've heard that these guns, the delta, overlord, and invincble all have velocity problems out of the box. What is the max they can shoot brand new, and is there anyway to get them up to 300? People keep saying theres shoots 240. I played with a PGP for a while at 240 and had but 1 break all day.

I haven't heard of such issues from anyone on the Ariakon boards...where did you hear that the Overlord had velocity issues?

Also, 240fps should still be plenty fast to get breaks at reasonable distances. Standard practice at scenarios games is to reduce the velocity of all markers to 250fps or below. In fact, I prefer having my velocity at 250-260 with my ACP because I know I'll be using it up close.

I'm just asking if its possible to get it up to 300fps out of the box without turning it into a blender

National Paintball said that a pistol couldnt shoot faster than 300fps because it was impossible lol this is the customer service for psychoballistics but yeah a zues sucks the CO2.

I have an Overlord and it was not a problem adjusting the velocity. I easily could adjust it from over 300 to 240. I'm sure it could go further either way but I just never tested it that far. I get more than 30 shots per 12gram shooting about 280.

Keep in mind these figures are out of the box. This is all before I had changed anything, and even than I only used a better lube.

EDIT: No more late night posts, I make too many typos.

Why would you even have it at 180fps? You could be point blank with steel at that velocity and a paintball wouldnt break. The only figures I'm concerned with are how many shots you can get at around 280 fps

I'm sorry, that was a typo. I keep it at 280, legal limit for the field I play at.

If you put a bottom line on a zeus can it shoot HPA instead of co2?

AriakonDevilDog

Yes it can.

Is there anyway to put HPA on an overlord or should i just get a zeus or WSP
