my friend is convinced that a 10 or 12 inch barrel is better than a long barrel for speedball. Wat are ur opinions and also please give ur paintball years of experince

i didnt say they were better, i said that they are just as accurate and more gas efficient with the correct ball to bore size

for speedball its good but it depends on whats comfortable for u...

i like 12" for speed ball

anything over that is too long...and it will sticking out ur bunker...(depends how big ur bunkers are)

I've been shot so many times in the barrel with my 16" so i use my 12" now.

The less they see out our bunker the less they can hit

I prefer shorter barrels. But some people like longer barrels because they are easier to wrap around bunkers. Its really your preference.

There is no difference in accuracy between 12 inch barrels and 16 inch barrels. There is about a foot of difference in range. Now on the other hand, if one of them is a stock barrel and one is a teardrop of course there will be a difference. But if it is the same barrel, same paint, same humidity, same temp, same every thing then what I said first is true

Plus you lose efficiency with longer barrels. When comparing a 12" Boomstick to a 14" Boomstick to a 16" Boomstick, there is about a 15fps difference between each one, which tells you longer barrels decrease air efficiency. This subject has been covered in the barrel forum though.

Actually, it depends on your position. A front man with a 16 inch barrel is gonna be over-exposed and get out faster than if he had a short barrel, and a backman with a 10 inch barrel is still gonna drop paint, but its not gonna be nearly as accurate. Basically, the barrel length counts for what position you are. Also, the shorter the barrel, the louder, it doesn't really matter, but it's just annoying! I shot a Stingray II Ice when I was a noob... I had the three inch barrel or whatever stock barrel it is, and it sounded like a bazooka every time I shot.

I am a backman, so I use a 14 inch barrel. I might bump it up to 16, but 14 is working fine. Also, you might wanna pick up a kit with different length fronts, so you can have a 10 inch one game and then a 14 inch the next, so you can find which one youre most comfortable with.

the barrel size and bore matching have nothing to do with gas effeciency.it takes just as much gas pressure to push a ball out of a .689 bore as a .691 bore.

air ball u want a longer barrel to push back the bunker and i actually play tighter w/ a longer barrel when playing on a airball feild. i dont have a working airball field near me so i like shorter barrels when playing w/ hard bunkers(that didnt come out right)

If you don't have anything intelligent to say, keep your mouth shut. It's obvious you don't know what you're talking about. Go make stupid and false statements in a different forum.
