I think you might be missing the endcap orings. If I remember correctly there is one on the valve endcap, the endcap behind the valve and it looks like you have the old LPR one included. Mine appear to be bunas (judging by feel and color), but manual shows a urethane on the LPR endcap. size is 015 if I am not mistaken.

Dan, I assume the 2002 and 2003 Excaliburs are identical in their o-rings?

Basically yes. I didn't get into the 2000 Excaliburs as most all of them have been upgraded. Very minor differences anyway.

Would it be worthwhile to spend the extra $$$ and purchase x-rings rather than regular o-rings?

The old one's had a clip visible on the end that goes into the gun.

No, they don't have the same surface tension and crush factors.
