La 5 Man Open League

Dig this:

5 man format
open league
4 events (every 5 weeks approx....will be scheduled around major events)
2 events at LA Xtreme in Slidell
2 events at Atomic Blast in St. Bernard

Prices:
$100 entry per event or pay $350 in advance for all 4 events
this fee includes air fills for the day
$5 for each alternate and for each player using co2
$50 per case (paint will be middle grade, i.e. midnight or nightmare)

Prizes:
trophies for each event 1st through 3rd
overall series trophies (big boys) 1st through 3rd

overall series prizes 1st through 3rd
prizes will be annonced before series starts, but I can assure they will be sweet

The purpose of this league is to breathe some life into the local speedball scene and have some tournaments with some real turnouts. The prices are low to encourage participation and get players together to have some fun and not be at each others throats for a huge prize package. You guys post up some ideas and/or questions, and by the 1st event (FEB 6th, pending MGO......) we will have ourselves an awesome league and start building some rivalries and war stories.
For any of you that used to play in the SPL, or were familiar with it, I would like to get that "braggin' rights and honesty" atmosphere back in our local speedball scene. Regulatorz vs Mercenaries type rivalries.....

those arent set in stone dates. rab said it might not even be at the center this year and there will be updates on a PB webpage once everythings confirmed.
