Hey! Listen, when you want to play well with your off hand you gotta make it stronger. By nature, it is always weaker. Carry your gun in it around your house. Hold it with your off hand while watching tv. Eat with your off hand. Then, play a few days of paintball with your off hand. Work at it and soon your off hand will be just as strong, if not stronger than your normal hand. BTW, lifting weights is good.... work at it!!!!

i just push up the side where i know i'll need to use it (in practice).
if i'm gunna be shooting down the tape, then the left side, if shooting across, the right side.
my form with my left hand is much cleaner but a wee bit slower than my right

same here, my trigger finger on my left hand is slow. But i'm actually very accurate with it.

i really don't think your tigger pull affects with your acuracy unless you shake your gun around. i think the term you may have been searching for was consistant.

Glad that someone finally put that in writing! I've seen plenty of right-hand players shoot from the left side of the bunker while still using the right hand to fire. They lean so far out, they almost fall over. Even when they stay upright, they make a HUGE target. I've been doing the 2-hand switcheroo with my EXC-68 for about 7 years. Lugging that thing back and forth, I should be able to bench press a bus by now.

i find its much easier to shoot off hand when using a blade style trigger. I had one on my cocker, and now i don't have it anymore and i can shoot off hand with any other gun now.
It really helped me

one weekend my team could not come to the field to practice so I played the whole day with the walk ons just using my off hand and the next weekend my off hand skill had increased greatly. I also walk around my house with my gun in the off hand to train it.

Thats a really good idea! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us! :)

I know this sounds weird but my whole team went out and bought nerf guns and we'll go around our houses or basements and shoot our pets or snap shoot from behind couches left-handed. It really helps. I can wax people left handed better than ever now. I also just carry my gun around left handed and bunker my dogs and stuff.

thats why i like electro's i am still just as accurate and i can fire just as fast cuz w/ my right hand (my off hand) i just walk the trigger so i can keep up

I don't know about that nerf gun bunkering pet stuff but it sounds reasonable. I on the other hand haven't ever gotten the hand on walking triggers.

yes I find in many cases, my form and my consistency in a snap shot or shooting with my left hand(off hand) is actually cleaner. But it might/will take me more time to prepare mentally, and complete physically than if I was using my normal hand (right).
Practice. yea fooling around and home holding the gun left does help to make you consious of form. And just making yourself do it in a game is what makes you comfortable
Now I dont even think twice. Have fun.

Like they said, do anything you can with your off hand. Example.. wash your soap with your off hand.. I even go as far as washing myself with my off hand.

Never thought of little stuff like that spoon.
But it took me about a month to get where I didn't notice a difference in left or right hand shooting.
But wen we do snapshooting drills my back wears out faster left handed, when posting that is.

i have almost the same accuracy w/ my left (off) hand as my right but can only shoot about 75% as fast

am i the only person who shoots out the left side right-handed? i can hold my gun such that my right arm sorta crosses my chest, my right thumb supports the gun behind the frame and my left hand holds the reg just like normal. heh, not too difficult, i have 100 % speed and about 80% accuracy, i guess i need to practice it a little more. imo its alot easier than learning to play left handed, which i tried and failed at.

I am left handed so i am just the teams left tape runner. I learned to shoot right handed tho but i always slapped the trigger too hard and would cause the gun to aim down. this means i was aiming for his head, would hit his balls, which really isn't a bad spot to hit if the guy is pizzin you off.

Ive been walking around the house with the gun in my left hand. I want to learn to shoot left handed. Last time I was playing, I had a guy stick out his entire body and i couldnt hit it.
I just do like nitegyr, and shoot with the tank on my left side, with my right hand going across my chest. I dont stick anymore than I do while shooting right.

Hm... do you guys have giant drops, or offset adapters or something? i tried that in i get the tank just to the left of my sternum (I'm left handed), maybe im doing something wrong.

unfortunately I have some damage to my left hand so off hand shooting is quite difficult but I have managed to compensate somewhat...basically what I have to do is move the gun to my left side but continue to fire with my right hand...it looks akward but it beats a 1-2 bps rof left handed...
I've tried all of the drills and whatnot to try to get my left hand to work correctly but it's quite difficult to overcome nerve damage...

on the same note don't neglect your natural side
last season i played right field and practiced with my offhand so much i couldn't hit a barn at the 50 right handed (back right dumper)
another player who taught me a lot once told me he was more accurate with his off hand/eye but faster with his natural side. i nodded but little did I know a season later i would find myself in the same shoes! this season i focus on switch hitting and accuracy on both sides equally

isnt it pretty natural that if you shoot slower youll have more accurate shots. the gun shakes more the faster you pull the trigger.

not really i use a cocker and i shoulder it properly like a real firearm. (all that infantry training hehe) it has very little kick to it and i only really loose accuracy when i fan my slide which in that case it doesn't matter which side i use it's spray and prey LOL.
my point was that i can pull the trigger faster right handed b/c i am right handed but since i shot a whole season lefty i am a better shot left handed...
someone even commented why i shoot left when they could tell my right eye was dominant by how i aimed and that i was right handed. i've been practicing switch hitting a lot this pre-season (still got snow here) and my accuracy is slowly evening out on both sides :)

I do the same. Is there really any problems with doing this? I keep the same accuracy and range...

My off hand shooting isn't my problem. It's my off hand aiming while snapshooting. I really can't do it very well. I was pinned at the 50 shooting out the left against their back left and I just could not put a shot anywhere near the guy. I felt helpless. I really need to work on that, I think we are going to be running some drills with that kind of stuff this weekend so hopefully I will get to work on it some.

Why did you say range?
Shooting from the tank is sloppy. It's slow, sloppy, and loose...
Shooting from the tank =

i guess i better post in here cuz my name is offhand.get a grip master. its a workout thingy with individual fingers and you can do all matter of crazy **** with your offhand.as far as electronics go my offhand is faster then my normal.to much coordination in the right hand.not enough spastic motion

Like, I hold my gun at the same angle to reach the same trajectory and stuff. That is what i meant by Range.

every night before i sleep I do some snapshooting stuff. I take two 8 pound barbells and put them in my hands and in front of a mirror I snapshoot and use the 16lbs of weights as the gun. Anyway I do this standing and crouching on both arms. Anyway what I do is do twice as many with my left hand than my right hand, and now I can snap faster with my off hand then my right
