We have got a high school club started for paintball....its o.k. but i think it would be awesome to have a organized paid sport in high schools against other schools....

its just the sport is SO new....

think of how long football and basketball have been around...

As long as people know paintball is a safe sport. then they won't mind it being in high schools, it's in mine.

definantly, it would be great, although i dont think it would be as fun as it is doin tourneys as an individual team responsible for yourself (u could get in trouble for ur actions on the field which for some of us the devil himself comes out) and practices are much more fun unlike they would be as an acctual high school sport (running, sprinting drills etc...). but i tihnk that it would be great if it became a high school sport. also another problem is that there would have to be tourneys between schools being that individual games only last 5 min (what a spectator sport) there is my 2 cents

I think it would work because like tennis matches you can have different teams on your squad rated 1 through what ever so your num. one 3 man team will play another schools num 1 team then num 2 plays 2 and so on. then you can run 5man 7man and combine the whole team and run ten man games the winner would have to win best out of three or so. then at the end of the season the teams with the most wins will face off for championships. Im sure if schools had teams they wouldn't have a problem filling them with players but administration would keep them from having a team. the only other problem i could see would be that schools with more money would have all their players with tricked out angels or simmilar guns, and the poorer schools would be trying to compete with stock spyders. but thats how tourneys are now some kids have money some don't . I'm just glad i had enought blood to sell so i could buy my timmy.J/K

next thing i see as being a problem to paintball being a high school sport is the cost, who would buy paint, or would u have to buy your own, also would u use ur own gun or would u use a school gun?? not knockin the idea, but i think it wont happen

Paintball a high school sport I have only dreamed of it. To play at my high school would be amazing. A regular season of paintball with playoffs and states. That would be totally crazy, having paintball practice after school and playing on sup air fields. I think with the right planning this could have a chance to happen, but it would have too have great approval first. I think it could happen someday and i would love it too but i don't think its going too for at least a few years.

hi im the captain of team wildfire and while we r on the topic of high school paintball, my team is the 4th ranked high school team in the nation, we went to national high school championships and had to play under school names, after we got 4th we told our school and they told us way to go now get out of here basicly it is kind of disappointing that they dont care when they are the school with the 4th ranked highschool team in the nation it is said

That is terrible that high schools show no respect for your achievements, it is truly sad. Paintball is a game that i take pride in a for the school that you represent to show no respect what so ever is totally unacceptable. We as paintballers need to push for the sport and show really how great it is.

Hey wildfire hook me up with any info on highschool paintball that you can!
Thanks

one of the things that im curious about is where would you get a coach?
if its to be a legit sport you need a coach so finding a coach could be hard work a scholl sponsor is one thing
but a person that know how to play better than the players?
that works at the school?
that might be hard
just my two cents

A few years back my high school held a paintball thing inside the high school, which it was training for the cops. It was the kids vs. the cops inside my high school. I didnt play in it but I hope they hold another one so I can!!!

In a lot of cases, especially at the high school level, the coach is more of a chaperone than anything. I know our chess club team coach (yeah, yeah, I was on the chess team... and cross country, and track, and student council....) definitely wasn't a better chess player than most of us. Coaches are there to do some of the organizational work, be a neutral arbitrator between players, handle team discipline, and chaperone.

ya just imagine playing your rival highschool in paintball....that would be awesome. And getting full paid college scholarships just as basketball football, etc. players do.

Recently some guys were passing around a petition in our school to start a team for my highschool, but schools are really edgy with anything that has to do with "guns" so that didnt work, plus our school wouldn't display a trophy me and some guys won representing our highschool in the national highschool championships\ college championship at Challenge park extreme, IL were we won second place. Lincoln way highschool!! Anyway we tried to get a leauge started but they wouldnt allow it...yet.
