July 29th there is a scenario/big game in Niangua, Missouri. I hear that this is about 45 minutes east of Springfield. $20 to enter and $60 a case FPO. I called yesterday about the paint and your choices are RP or some stuff called 1st Choice. Anyway, they are expecting about 300. Not as big as D-day and it is only one day/ all day. About ten of us are going to make the drive from Kansas City on Saturday for the Sunday game. Free camping and lunch is included in your entry fee. Hope to see some familiar faces from D-day.

Is it really free if it's included in the entry fee?

well..i paid 60 bucks to go to d-day and didn't get $hit except alot of disorgaization. so in perspective i'd say for $20..yeah you get a freee lunch. now if lunch consists of balogna sandwiches..then i might take some exception:)

Most people should agree that the words "ENTRY FEE" mean payment to get in or participate THEREFORE anything else included should logicly be considered "FREE" (or at least a bonus).
It's probably a good thing lunch wasn't part of the deal at D-Day, if so it probably would have been late and there would have only been one for all 800 of us to stand in!!!:P

ah...i don't know what type of rp it's gonna be..sorry.
I think that blindrocket and I are planning to attend.
Do you have to buy paint by the case? Do you think that a whole case will be used? I really don't want to drop 60 bucks and then leave with 3/4ths a case of cheap paint.
I've never been to a scenario, so please don't poke fun at me if this is a dumb question.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...............What a moron.............Just Joking ;) . Its my first scenario too, and im also not sure how much paint ill need to buy. But id say odds are with there being 150+ people on each team there will be alot of targets to shoot at thus equaling alot of paint to be boughten.

Actually I was told that there was 300 ppl already signed up. Which means there will be be quite a bit more...I think I maybe going but not a 100% sure yet.
Rust-
Probably, depend on what kind of a player you are. But think of it this way. There are 4 games that last 1 and half each with two large teams. You are recycled into the game if you are eliminated. If I go, I'm defiantly getting a case. And if you don't wanna get a case I'm sure you can split one with someone there or something like that.

I went through two cases at the D-day game. I have to admit though, I like to hammer on the trigger. I'm not sure if you have to buy it by the case or not. Call 417. 887.0794 or 417.866.8862 to find out.

fellow paintballers
my name is bill bailey. i am running the counterstrike big game. just letting you all know that it will be fresh paint and lots of targets. the food will be, burgers, chips, soda and i do not know what else. the format has changed for the better. the game starts at 9am and goes till the last man is ready to leave. get there early to register and get a rules brief. at 9am it starts no matter how many are out there. as it stands dan reeves and jessica sparks will be terrorist leaders and scott bensman and wayne divelbliss will be counterterrorists leaders. there will also be a few other squad leaders out there all with swat team backgrounds for added realize. this is going to be a great time so let me know if i need to reserve a space for large groups that want to stay together. this game will be non-stop. dead boxes go back in at every 15 minutes. get shot at 1223 and your back in at 1230. more games for your bucks. have a great time.
if you have questions email me at www.mopaintball.com
bill p.s. you might remember my tank from d day

Plenty of targets for me! I'm sure to use at least a case.
Must we preregister? How will the teams be split up?
I'm going with Rust, so we know we want to stick together,
maybe join up with you djchuckc or kansas kaos and your crew??

Rocket & Rusty are more than welcome to come hang with Team Iguana. That would put our little camp up to about 18-20 players. Hell, we could have 25-30 easy by the time we get there!!
**HEY BILL** I remember your tank...... There's nothing like being outnumbered in a firefight between Fire base Alpha & Bravo and looking over and seeing your tank coming. We were knocking 'em out 10 at a time and they just kept coming. Your tank really cut into their ranks!!
DJ assures me you'll have plenty of java juice on hand, sounds like paradise.......:D

here are some mini missions going on at counterstrike.
terrorists must capture fuel for their tank. terrorists must take over ammo dump and steal a bunkerbuster bomb. counter terrorists must find the instructions to disarm the bunker bomb. they must find a anti-tank cannon. this is just to name a few. the rp paint will be premium.
anyone coming out early saturday will be invited to partake in a round table session of paintball talk concerning the future of big games and any ideas you may want to share.all are welcome. i would like to thank all the cool people i have met so far and oh yes there will be coffee.
this will be a non-stop game. take a break when you want just remember your team will be relying on you for support.
take a chow break whenever you want. there will be plenty of water but you might want to bring a canteen or camepack.
thanks all

Please make sure all of your refs know how to properly hold the chrono...I have had problems with this at a tourny not so long ago. The field refs had hand held chronos, but a ref on the hyperball field did not know how to use it correctly. The way he had it made my velocity record at 20 fps higher than it was shooting. Right after that ref chrono'd my gun, I went to the big red radar chrono to test to see if it was the same. The handheld chrono said 302, 303, around that area, but the red radar chrono said 282, 280, etc.

I agree with Jman's statement to a certain extent. Whenever the human element is intoduced into the equation the chance for error is usually increased. HOWEVER, chronos are instruments and therefore not perfect. And like all good equipment it ocassionaly need to be re-calibrabed. To take things even further I've seen bore size of the ball effect velocity as much as 16fps, and let's face it NOBODY makes a perfectly round ball or puts 2000 balls in one box that are EXACTLY all the same size!

Bailey:
With all the changes, will it now be more of a continous scenario rather that have it broken up into smaller scenarios?
Thanks

Here is a quote from Bill's post on the first page..... "this will be a non-stop game". I think that pretty much answers your question.

Mike (aka Paint Warlord) is that really you??
I almost didn't recognize you with the purple hair.......:D
Glad 2 hear you're gunna make it!
Man, I was really looking forward to this game, it was the highlight of my vacation.
But now my wife has suprised me with an actual vacation.
Now I'm being forced to go to Las Vegas for a week instead of getting to go play paintball.
:(
Life is so hard sometimes. :D

I Know I hyped myself up all to soon. Rust and I work at the same place and since we've both been there for basically equal amount of time, our yearly vacations came up at the same time. And with vacations comes trips, etc. Stuff to do with the spouse, and all that jazz...and unlike some of you, paintball doesn't fall into the category of my wifes kind of fun. :(

yup..hear you guys on that. i'm sure there will be a time when i want to go paintballing and the mrs. will have other plans. so far i've been pretty lucky. i'm sure the luck won't hold. maybe catch you guys at bridge too far.
I'll have to talk to blind
but when we get our stuff together
we might be able to head up to KC some weekend to play
I like the fields around here
but change is good

So the wife sez you're going on a vacation instead of going to the scenario, huh? Just so you know guyz, our wives don't play or go watch us play paintball. That's something we do because we want to. The difference for me personally is that I spend equal time with my wife (dining, movies, etc) prior to going to big games. This week is a prime example.... I agreed to go to my in-laws for a bar-b-q on Sunday, that got me the scenario with no hassel. I'll throw in a nite out for dinner between now and the scenario, that will ice furture games for me. Pre-paying for scenarios is also a good idea if you have a wife that likes to surprize you..... that way all you have to say is "I've already paid".
I have prepaid for anything I want to do for the rest of my life. While I drove a truck over the road, my wife bankrupted us. If not for the kids, she would have been GONE. The upside is, I don't get any crap about ANYTHING, the laundry is done, the food is cooked, the house is cleaned. This is my 2nd and final marriage. Just a word of advice........marry someone who loves you more than you love them and you can get away with or do anything you want. Marry them because they love you, not because you love them. Anyway, I'll be at Counterstrike, unless my wife goes into labor on the 27th.........................

hey guys this is bill. i just added another mission to the game. you really should bring extra socks. you might be one of the few chosen to go on a special mission down in no mans land. heh,heh
i have bulldozed a parking and camping area for both the terrorists and counter terrorists. they are right across the road from each other. well within range of water balloons, heh,heh
each area will have a chrony area and table so you can work on guns etc. also each area has a campfire area as well and plenty of pallets to burn.
thanks all
bill
