View Full Version : Who will be attending the Smackdown tourney in SAC this Sunday?

Well I know of a couple teams that will be attending it. My friend from Tru Image will be there. So there will be Tru Image Emerald, Tru Image Jade, and the new Tru Image Onyx team. Then the owner of sherwood will be there with a few of his refs playing amatuer and I am pretty sure he is bringing Oliver Lang with him. I would come watch but I will be reffing since a couple sherwood refs will be playing.

Yeah, Tru Image will be there. I'm playing with the Jade team. Team Onyx will actually play as Jade on this tourney as the true Jade team will not be there.
I will also be at Sherwood's tomorrow for half day just to try out a new barrel. We practiced with Oliver last week and that guy is freaking good.
Hey Mecam, what is your real name. You are on Jade right? I am friends with Matt (Kapp Cocker). I also ref at sherwood.

Nope not a captain, I just recently joined Tru Image. I think I know who you are. I play at Sherwoods at least twice a month.
I know you just joined, but I thought for some reason you were the captain of onyx. Because Norm is for Emerald and Jose is for Jade and I thought you were for Oynx. Matt said you either were or some other name I forgot. I know you have seen me at sherwood before. The last time you prolly saw Matt play, which was like the weekend before the try outs I was the other kid with him. When you were asking him about the team and stuff.

Yep that was me asking Matt bout the team. As far as Onyx, a guy named Edwin is the team captain. Don't you play for a team also? Are you guys gonna be at this tourney?
Ya thats the other guy that Matt mentioned. No sadly I dont play for a team. :( I was going to try out for Tru Image but I wouldnt have been able to make the first CVC tourny and I also wanted to buy a cocker and if I was going to be practicing every weekend that would take away my chances of getting one. I am now looking for a team since I got my cocker. I might talk to Jose to see what is available for me.

Yeah, Tru Image is always looking for people. They are building their 4th team. Plus I think Jose needs players on his team. Not everybody can always make practice or tournaments because of family and money issues. It is very hard to keep players on a team unless it is fully sponsored. The last team I played for always had to replace a guy on every tourney. Are you reffing tomorrow? I love playing rec ball, haven't been to Sherwoods for about 1 month and looking forward to it.
I will be reffing sunday not tomorrow. Everybody is going to be at the tourny (Jeff, 3 other refs) so they need me on sunday. I will be at sherwood next saturday though. I will also be playing next friday night at fairgrounds.

I was at Fairgrounds last Saturday and that was their last day. They are shutting down. I would call to double check.:(
Oh ya thats right, they are supposed to be closing this month due to the fair. I think they are reopening after though. Like sometime in July they should be back open. Well I hope you guys do well in the tourny sunday. I am hoping Jeff's team will take 1st in Amature. And hope you guys place good in Rookie. You are playing rookie right?

Yep, all Tru Image team is rookie.
So what are the results of the tourny? I think Tru Image Emerald got 5th didn't they?

Yep, Emerald got 5th and I think Jade got 8th or 9th, both were in the semi-finals. The field is pretty cool, nice setup. At the beginning many people were jamming the balls in their barrels. The Venom Paintballs had a bore size of .692 but they shot straight and broke on targets.
so all the poeple who had boomsticks and smaller bore barrels were shooting curvy and not shooting straight? Could you have brought your own paint if you wanted too?

Yeah, the ball was jamming inside the boomsticks. They would just get stuck in the middle. I was using a Freak with a .693 insert and never broke a ball. It was Field paint only tourney. That field is open every weekend. $15 for all day practice and you can BYOP.
well that would suck, i might just have to buy a freak set then. I need to go check that field out sometime.
