I would have responded sooner, but I do not check this area very often.
I have to first say that I have reciently moved to Richmond and am trying to find my way around here for paintball. Did you talk to BCBG or did you just find them on the internet?
They are really just about to start a field (I have not been there and am not sure if it is open or not). They appearently were associated with a field at one time, but there was a falling out ir something. I don't know the whole story, but there is appearently another field that is north of Richmond.
I have gone to Paintball Authority, and the fields are OK. There are 3 speedball type fields and a woods field. The prices are kinda high and the owner is not that great. The staff that runs the field and refs are pretty cool.
What type of player are you? and what are you looking for?

A group of us will be going on a trip to busch gardens in august and we wanted to play paintball while we're there. a friend found the place on the internet and from what it looks they have pretty goods prices on stuff you can bring your own paint, and theres only a $10 fee. there is apparently 2 fields ( by the time we go there will be) there at different locations. What i wanted to know is if anyone has ever played there because on there website which is www.bcbg-paintball.com it doesnt show any pictures of the field. I geuss you could say im a speedball player, though i do play woods a lot. Were looking to have fun and not spend to much money.

Also Foxtart,
You said you were coming to Busch Gardens with some friends? Are you coming for the rides? If so, we also have Kings Dominion that is north of Richmond, and this is around where BCBG's field will be. They have some really cool rides there, I have not been to Busch Gardens yet.

Hey thanks man, you can email me at adam17543@yahoo.com or catch me on aim FOXTART22.
I emailed BCBG today and asked when the new field would be open. They said it was taking a lot longer then they expected. The bad news is they said middle of July:(

Yeah, their old field is now reopened under different management, though.
I think it's called Power paintball, but I'm not 100% on that.

Do you know if the same rules will apply that you can bring your own paint?

I play at Paintball Authority at least 2to3 times a month. It cost 20 to play if you have your own eqp. 25 if not. (this includes all day co2 or nitro fills)It is field paint only. If you buy paint at the at the shop its a little cheaper. They usuallly carry Enforcer, Team colors, Slam, and Mabs somtimes adreneline and PMI. They may be a little higher but it's always a good time. They serve hotdogs for lunch (1.00 each) and there is a market infront of the field that has a grill. Normally Sat. is a good turnout even in this heat. They have a wooded field, a town field, a net field, a spool field, and a speedball field. The phone # is 804-897-9030. Sat. hours field 10 to 5 store 9 to 5. The store is about 15 to 20 mins from the field. If you need more my E-mail is kikitup@richmond.com P.S. Team colors is 55.00 a case.

OK, this is straight from the owner of BCBG:
The field will definitely open on the 28th, in fact I'm going up with some other guys (I used to play for the pro shop team) to test the field out prior to the public opening.
It's going to be speedball and woods, and the speedball fields will include Sup'Air and wooden bunkers.
It will be 15/ day for your own gear and that includes all day air, and it's BYOP unless you rent their guns.

I too play at *********** and have some stuff to add. Their "nets" field was disassembled (Not that much of a loss IMNSHO) BUT in its place is a Sup Air field. It really is a good field even though the prices may be a little higher. And about the owner: I am friends with him (Ray) now. At first we all hated him...but that is just who he is, a strict businessman. I really didnt start getting any respect untill I beat him a couple times and he realized that I was no longer the ordinary rec player. And for any of yall that go to the store...NEVER pay the price that they tell you (cept on paint...he wont budge there). Because we live in a "rich" area he marks up EVERYTHING. Just be sure to haggle with him and you will be able to knock off quite a bit.
