Colorado Springs dosent have much, like 2 fields and they aren't that great...
Denver has some nice places to go, Shutdown( www.sxpaintball.com ) Paintball Adventures( www.paintballadv.com ) and 303( www.303paintball.com ) is an indoor field setup tourney style...

I have only been to Shutdown and APC( www.americanpaintballcoliseum.com ), APC is an pretty nice place to go if there is bad weather...
But Shutdown is the best i think!

But go to PBReview.com and check out the rating on the colorado fields and see what u like...

Im no expert, but from what I've seen and heard Colorado can't hold a candle to cali as far as paintball is concerned. It would be like the difference in sports car from Tokyo to New York.

Not that it doesnt have ANYTHING, it just wont have near as much as cali had.

Well, comparing Colorado to California is essentially like comparing a 1 carat diamond to a 5 carat diamond. California has more people, it's larger, and being right on the coastline it's going to have more outdoor potential. California has a number of LARGE paintball fields that have gotten a lot of hype from the national tournament scene. But, Colorado is a much nicer place. Denver itself has some GREAT potential but, it's a little ratty. The foothill cities like Boulder, Westminster, and the others within 30 minutes of the mountians are great places to live... a little on the exspensive side... but, worth it.

As for paintball... there's a few leagues in/around Colorado that you might be able to get into. There's CAPS, Masters, MSTS (http:www.MSTSinfo.com), and the RMXL (www.rmxl.com). You can find an events calender at some of the Colorado paintball sites, and find out exactly where the tournaments will be held and who's going. As for teams... unlike California (that house probably hundreds of teams), Colorado has significantly less. There's a lot of great teams in Colorado that are very active in the tournament leagues, as well as quite a few active clubs and organizations (Tunka, and PPC). You'll have no problem finding someone to play with. I'm on my way back home to Colorado this fall, and getting some people together now, to start up a tournament team myself. Colorado is a fun place, with an interesting winter (if you've never lived in a mountain state).

Oh, just noticed your note about Colorado Springs. C.S. is probably the closest thing you'll find to California (terrain wise). It's green, but sandy at the same time. C.S. is home to an Air Force academy, and a dozen tourist attractions which puts it on the map. But, paintball doesn't thrive there, from what I gather. All the fields that players go to are in/around Denver. If you do move to Denver, look at a 30-45 minute drive in all directions to one of the fields. There's a few INSIDE Denver, like the "Paintball Colliseum" that you might like to try out... but Paintball Adventures is one of the more popular.

Reppin for Shutdown. You will find most tourny teams at Shutdown or PBA. Shutdown is making an Xball field very soon, which will probably make it the most popular tourny field in CO

APC's outdoor is just to damn far away
