Eactly the same as any barrel. The paintball starts at one end and with air preassure is pushed out the other.

Now if you want to know how they are different. A carbon fiber barrel is made of carbon fiber. It is a strong, light weight cloth like mat of woven fibers that can be formed into almost any shape.

Do an internet search on carbon fiber and then please put a lil more thought into your question. If you one to know about a barrel, post the maker and name of it.

neo i did get a smart comment in a way cause your being a smart ***, now if i really have to break things down to terms that require you not needing any thought process or interpretation skills than here ya go ... how does the 32 degrees carbon fiber barrel perform, and is it worth the money or do you suggest that I save the money and purchase a different barrel.

Yes that was a better way to word it. I really don't like the 32° barrel, but to each their own. Find a good PB field and sometimes the pro shop will allow you to play a game to try it out. I know I'm a smart ***. Its called info, I like to have all the info I can get on a subject before I open my mouth.

i think carbon fiber barrels are just lighter....ive had one on my rebel
