my friends blue to black DM4 was stolen today, March 14th, at the Pevs tournament in Leesburg Virginia

The DM4 has a blue to black fade, with a 68/45 hyperflow tank. It had no barrel or hopper.
The only way to tell (until i get the serial number) is there is a small nick on the top of the back. It is noticeable. Serial number will be posted asap. Thank you

EDIT: THE SERIAL NUMBER FOR THE DM4 IS... 3121026

that is just plain shiaty that his gun was jacked.... when was it taken during the day?> we were there the whole day and we have a blue to black DM4 in our MOB of guns that was being used today.. it was the only one I saw out there in that fade. You should def call the Pevs stores and let them know. Where is that nick again? I work on DM4s for Pevs so I might come across this for you and would love to be the one to bust some jerk for stealing this marker. Where did you buy it?

Sorry to hear that. Is it true DM4s are 1300 at pevs?

03-14-2004, 08:00 PM
thank you, the nick is on the top near the back of the gun. The gun was also bought at pevs. it was the first blue/black Dm4 sold at the woodbridge store. Im pretty sure it was stolen during the awards ceremony becuase everyone was at one spot, so the theif didnt have to worry about any body seeing.

That sux dude. The upside is that there aren't a whole ton of DM4's out there yet so hopefully this fool gets caught. If they do catch the guy...prosecute the hell out of him as an example to other "would be" theives.

Just a message to the person or persons involved. You have no idea how far we can reach. The last 5 markers that have "disappeared" from a Pev's location have been recovered in one way or another.

If I were you, I would find a way for the DM4 to "reappear" at one of our locations so we may get it back to it's rightful owner.

Just a word of advice.

alright, if whoever stole the gun is reading this. Read it and weep.
1. the gun does not work very well. but go ahead and send it to matrix center, becuase the gun is redflagged, meaning that gun is now official stolen according to Matrix. have fun.
2. The police are now involved.
3. that brings me to my next point, you either A. cough up what the gun and tank is worth new and you keep the gun and tank. or you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent. So either contact me on AIM if you have any involvement in it, or face the consequences.

illrollinVa,

I was there Sunday as well as part of ColdFusion in Novice class. I will keep a lookout for you, but we only make it down there for the tournaments and classes. Rab knows me well. Both myself and my teammate Rob (who was not there on Sunday) also have blue to black fade DM4's, which we bought at Maryland Paintball in Bel Air MD. I only saw one or two other similar guns during the whole tournament, and tons of people asked to see mine during the day. I have a powerlyte scepter on mine instead of the stock ultralight. Hope you find the jerk who stole yours and prosecute the heck out of him. Keep us informed.

P.S. Unfortunately we don't trust anybody under the age of 25 at tournaments anymore and always have somebody watch our stuff or lock it our car. Too many kids are lazy bastages who don't want to work for anything.

I'm gonna let my team know to be on the lookout for it and to have Beth ask the refs at AG check all blue to black fade DM4s this weekend...

Phil - if you want, call AG's office and let Beth know about the gun or I can do it Saturday.

I'll probably be out playing as a walk-on this weekend too. I'll keep an eye out for it. I'd like to see an example made out of one of these thieves. A very visable example so this disappearing gun crap will stop.

Adam- thanks bro, just let the AG fools know whats up. thanks for your help

once again, whoever stole it, you can run but you cant hide. prepare to ask your mom for a hefty check of somewhere around 1500 or well be seeing you in court.

I think the best solution is to:

1. Lock all your expensive stuff in the back of your vehicle when it is not on you, where at least there is an alarm system to defeat before anybody can steel anything of value.

2. Introduce your entire team to your parking neighbors on both sides of you. Offer to watch out for their stuff if they watch out for yours. Tell them to question anyone hanging around your stuff that was not in the group introduced. We parked right next to Keiths Driving School last last tournament, and they are very cool guys. A little bit of watching each other's back goes a long way for security!

I wonuldnt joke about this if I were you. If you are indeed the person who removed this marker, Id say just return it and dont make a long, drawn out deal about it. Just a quick word of advice.

do most stolen guns in yall area end up being found?

GivenRandy
06-22-2004, 07:01 PM
Good that it is more likely to be spotted than in other sports. When my son and I played Yu-Gi-Oh, people would get $2000 worth of cards stolen with almost no chance of ever seeing them again.

Based on what I've seen...Nope. I mean seriously...how many people play recreationally in the metro DC area. Thousands I'm sure. The volume of high end markers Pevs sells is astounding. And they're not the only game in town, just the best one. Occasionally some nimrod snakes a marker at the field and takes it to a Pevs store or to Check it for service and it gets recognized but I'd guess that's less than 10%. I don't think Rab ever got his marker back last year. There were a few cockers boosted too. It just pays to keep an eye on your eq and have your friends look out for you as well.
