Well what do you think?http://home.earthlink.net/~pcoff/snova1.jpg Homemade drop forward, Homemade foregrip, shortened 3/4" with a custom "expansion chamber" rear seal. No more Dicer. Gas trough grip/frame, so no more gas line.. I can't think of anything else to do...except maybe some anodizing...Pete

that's crazy cool, where did you run the gas ?? did you just drill a hole all the way through the frame (ie:front to back) ?? and then through the front vert grip??
or, did you actully run the gas throuh the 45 grip into the frame from there??
either way, that's sweet man, congrats :D

That is a sweet gun! One question though, why did you get rid of the Dicer?

Love the gas through grip thing, possibly the coolest thing you could do!
my question, is it by way of macro line in the grip, or a hole drilled straight through?

PS, now just get a barrel adapter when the come out(somewhere in the future)

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. The drop forward & foregrip are just jigsaw/beltsander fun! The rear seal was made by a friend of mine with a lathe. I play in So Cal so no need for Dicer. The only scary part was drilling down the side of the frame by the trigger valve. I used 1/4" copper to go through the grip, which flared nicely at the ends so the O-rings would seal well. I'll be playing this weekend, so I'm excited to see how it'll do with the mods. Thanks again, Pete

Man, I can't get over that no-line mod-- that's just plain sweet!
I am trying to think of a way to do that to mine-- but I am having a hard time figuring out how to get the air through the grip (remember, I've got all those electronics & crap in there... I was thinking of maybe going through the actual grip frame itself--might work, I'll have to look at it more carefully) -- but then there's a problem about the grip getting COLD--lol. So, how did you know how far to drill in w/o hitting the trigger valving? I suspect that you used the chamber that the 700 macroline normally screws into--did you enlarge that inlet hole or just leave it as is (it looks pretty small to me).. Anyhow, this is very interesting-- be sure to keep us updated on how this thing performs :)

Just got back & it worked great, which is to say just like always. 1400+- shots w/ 20 oz.(shot bigball @ 280 fps) 10 people asked me THE question & I got a sunburned neck. Great Day! Pete

Yeah--THE question--lol.. I'm almost sick of that question--he he.
I will probably send my gun to Section8 in the future to be "upgraded" to the darkstar or lunacy--just so I don't have to say "super nova e.t." every time I'm asked--it would be alot easier to simply say "darkstar" or "lunacy" . LOL-- I'm lazy :)
