I know a mongoose can have different barrels and all but what kind is best and what style threading should it be?:crash:

Also I am running this gun off CO2. Would Nitrogen be necessary for this gun to run well or is CO2 okay?

It's a Spyder thread style. What barrel you get depends on what you want to spend. A CP one or two-piece would be a fine choice. about $45 for the 1-pc, $60 for the 2-pc. Other people should have lots of other good suggestions too. Your mongoose should run fine on C02, but as always, N2 is much much better. It's more consistent, which will make your mongoose much more acurate. plus N2 is clean and not volitale so it won't ruin your o-rings.

I've been running mine on an anti-siphon'd 16 oz stubby C02 bottle, and I've been very pleased at how the anti-siphon'd bottle has eliminated (for the most part, atleast, unless I really get on the trigger) the gun shooting 'snow' or vapor out of the barrel. Before I had the anti-siphon tube installed, I regularly produced quite a bit of vapor with each shot, but that has been greatly reduced with the anti-siphon tube.
Like DCempire said, any Spyder threaded barrel will fit on a Mongoose. I'm still trying to figure out other aftermarket products that will fit. Everyone I've ever spoken to says that the trigger frame is based on M3's M92 design, which would mean it would take a Black Dragon replacement trigger, but I've removed my trigger, and it doesn't look anything like any of the black dragon triggers I've ever seen. Here's a pic of mine:

And here is a pic of a replacement black dragon trigger, the Zenitram trigger, which comes highly recommended:

And lastly, a Checkit Products Sweet Spot stick trigger for Kingman E-Frames:

To my untrained eye, the trigger I removed from my stock Mongoose frame looks alot more like the Spyder replacement trigger than the Black Dragon trigger. I supposed I'm just going to have to order one or the other and see if it fits and if the adjustment screws line up correctly.
As far as other aftermarket parts, I know that you can use an Intimidator bolt, although the stock bolt is pretty good, delrin without any flow reducing venturi. It will take a Spyder replacement valve, I've got the 32 Degrees Turbo in mine. Not sure on the cup seal, the seal and the spacer seem to be all one part, that might be hard to replace. Not sure what the threading for the feedneck is, or if it would take Angel or Timmy feednecks. Replacement grips would be nice, I'm not too keen on the plastic panels. But they've just now come out with rubber grips for Spyder e-grips, and they are shaped differently than the 'goose grips, so I'm not going to hold my breath. Probably have to come up with something custom built.
All in all, I've been very pleased with my Mongoose. It seems to be solidly built, with some pretty decent stock parts. The stock 32 Degrees Quiet Riot barrel isn't bad, and it does come with an on-gun regulator beneath the grip frame. It isn't a Stabilizer, but you don't see too many entry level guns shipping with a regulator. The frame will take standard hole drop forwards or Spyder hole drops, and all of the threads and ports seem to be a standard, rather than a proprietary thread. Getting support through 32 Degrees/National Paintball can be a pain, but if you have a good local pro shop, I'd suggest going there first any way.
My wish list for my Mongoose:
Good, made to fit rubber grips
Stick trigger (if I can just figure out which one will fit!)
Rechargable battery and plug in charger. It has the port in the grip, but the National Paintball tech who e-mailed me back said that neither the Kingman Java or the 32 Degrees rechargable battery charger would work. He said they were coming out with a charger for the Mongoose. If anybody knows that a current battery and charger will work on a Mongoose, let me know. My Duracel Ultra M3 batteries are lasting fine, but I still want a rechargable battery, with a plug in charger.
Oh well, sorry for rambling. Don't see too many Mongoose posts on pbnation, gotta jump in when I get the chance :D

Yes the trigger is spyder, and the Kingman charger should work fine, the board is pretty much a spyder board. The threads on the macro are metric though, and I havn't been able to get the macroline out of the fittings.

well, i have got a completely stock mongoose. I really hat my big hard grips and the trigger. I currently have a n2 tank, and might get a new reg. What upgrades do you reccomend? I is really a great gun, definately best gun for money imo. Also love hoow easy bolt is to take out, and only chopped one ball ever! I really hate the trigger, and the stock barrel is ok, for a stock barrel. Neways, what should i upgrade?
