HI guys,
I was checking out the specs for the cyborg on macdev's site and i noticed one of its features was a self lubricating bolt. How da heck does that work? You fill it up with oil and every once in a while it releases oil on its own???
thanks

It's just made out of some slick material (like delrin) that does not require oil to move smoothly.

LOL..
now all you need is lil elf's in side of her too give it those extra pulls. and also have them Crunk down the Velocity when a crono is with in 5ft....

the bolt is made out of a material that is not delrin, it does not need any oil and will not swell in extreme temerature conditions. ( if you want elves the price will have to go up !) just keep it clean and it'll keep rock'n.

ya delrin sucks in extreme weather...it expands and contracts all over the place

thats not very true. real good delrin is very dimensionally stable. the cyborgs bolt is probably nylatron GSM/NSM or any of those lubricant impregnated nylons. OFN/GSM blue are probably the best, NSM and Nylawear are more wear resistant though. crappy "delrin" bolts that swell alot, are, in fact, cheap nylon. cheap nylon absorbs moisture 50% faster than standard delrin, and to a saturation level NINE TO TEN times more than standard delrin. however, high grade self lubricating nylon is still better in my books, because of its inherent low friction and wear resistance. not to mention, while it can saturate higher than delrin, the outside surface is more concentrated in the "fill" lubricant impregnation, so its very resistant to liquid absorbsion.

also, dimensional change from temperature will happen to ANY of those plastics pretty equally. you wont be running co2 on that gun, so changes from low temperature are negligible.

Apoc,

that was very informative. Thank you.

apparently i've been using ****ty delrin...the delrin bolts on the evolve bolts on matrices will swell so bad they won't shoot, that's why everyone uses the HE15 on that comes with it

Thanks for info Apoc;)
