Hey guys. my name is Drew Kennison. I captain Triage. were a 5 man team whos going rookie next year. weve been practicing for the last few months just getting ready and we hope to have a really good rookie year next year. We all live in vancouver Wa, just 16 minutes from downtown portland.
were looking for 2-3 more players and if i get enough response I'd be willing to make a full 10 man team which we could split into two 5 man teams for tournies.
the fact is this. we dont have a sponsor and were looking to win a tourney or two to prove were worth one. We practice once a week and although I wont punish someone for not making it, I always really appreciate those who do and it helps the team.
We can usually get pretty good deals on paint and often free field fee. we are looking forward to a field that is in the process of being built very close to us which will become our home field, so were kind of waiting for them to get up and running before we declare a home field.
right now practice is often at bad mojo's field or portland indoor when its rainy outside. we try not to play indoor too much because the fact is they charge too much for paint and you have to get a membership to get a competetive price. bussiness is bussiness so im not mad at the guys there and really do enjoy it there.
at practice we all get a case of paint and everybody shares. theres no reason back players should be punished for shooting more paint than front players. they shoot more to help the team, reward em for it.
so there you have us, now what im looking for in you.
we need a couple mid players who can play front and an additional back player who may be able to play mid.
right now we run 2 front a mid and two backs and this arrangement would give us much more versatility.
your going to have to have enough money for the jersey, its 57 dollars and they're pretty tight, you wont be dissappointed. you need a pack and pods and a gun. Im not going to tell you guns don't make a difference in paintball. they do. the player makes the gun though so if you are pretty damn good and you dont have a upper end gun, don't worry about it.
on the other hand, if your dad bought you a timmy for your birthday to match the car he got you last year and you have no skill whatsoever, please don't apply. you guys understand what i mean.
ages on the team vary greatly, weve got a 28 yr old and 30 yr old. two 21 yr olds and a 17 yr old right now, so i mean we'll pretty much take anybody within reason. please no young guns though, means we'd like you to be at least 16 and able to drive a car.
other than that a good understanding of the game and a willingness to play hard and learn is all you need.
if you have any questions you can post em here (i check once a day at least) or you can drop me an e-mail @ kennison10@hotmail.com which i also check at least once a day.
thanks for your time yall.
