NPPL has made formal statements about two of the following issues:
Semi only boards
Barrel Condoms
Paintguns that can be fired in modes other than semi, but can be 'locked out' on the field will the legal for the remainder of the 2001 season, but paintball guns only capable of semi will be the only markers allowed on the field for the 2002 nppl season
Barrel condoms as of Atlantic City are required, and sqeegies in the barrel and barrel plugs are no longer acceptable. Barrel bags are to be secured by lanyard so they may not be blown off. Barrel bags may be optained from Warrior Sports' "Barrel Condom", and Unique Sporting's "Barrel Jimmy"
Hope this clears up some of the fog with the new rules

Any word on the NPPL approved toilet paper rules for next year?
I've been told by people that are well into the industry, that there is a new rule with the deadbox.
It's hidden per se, to where eliminated players can't see or communicate with live players on the field...
People are complaining because the lack of being able to count the dead box, and the point that the learning of watching is stopped.
True? Old Rule? Rumor?
Am I a moron? :D

Well, I got a little lost there for a moment or two in your post, but that is true. From here on out, when a player is eliminated, they must take the most direct route to the dead box without drawing ANY attention to themselves, sit in the dead box with their back facing the action. Each time a ref sees a "dead" player looking around at the game, he will pull a player from that team.
Whta cracks me up is how much people will risk for the sake of winning. People have either been caught or accused or making SOME sort of signals to the other players from the dead box.
So far as the lack of visibility goes ... well, no matter where they situate the dead box, it rarely seems to matter. I've watched teams not have a clue how many players were on the field despite the dead box being easily visible. Getting lit up thinking nobody's left of the field is a wonderful teacher when it comes to having a team focus on keeping the "kill count" straight.
Personally, the rule makes plenty of sense and only irritates me when I get shot out! It was rough last month sitting there and having to REMIND myself to not turn around ... especially when things were obviously getting really intense out there.
