I just though I would start a thread for Idaho players. If your new to paintball a good site is pbreview.com. You can find out were some fields are at on that site. I'm from Pocatello and haven't played anywhere here yet because I don't have my gun, Vaporworks has it:D . But anyways, you can PM me if your in the Pocatello area and we can play sometime. I'm probally not going to play during the winter because i'm going to do alot of work to my gun and need to save money for college as well.

Anyone from Idaho feel free to post on this thread to give people an idea where to play.

hey, i live here in idaho..i have many friends that go to UofI....do yourself a favor and dont go there...your from san diego no? any cal state school in cali will be better. just trying to give u advice.

and insist on idaho, i suggest BSU(boise state Uinversity)
u will have alot more fun at BSU then UofI because UofI is a complete college town. there are currently around 13000 students....thats roughly half the population of moscow.
from wut my friends tell me..when school is out..the town is completely dead..not that there is anything to do in that town anyways.

BSU will have alot more activities to offer u because its in the capital city. that being boise. there's alot more stuff to do there and if ur in for the football their football team is awsome . apparently they are ranked very very high in their divison(not sure how high..just know its extremely high, i dont fallow football but the kid that sits next to me in statistics talks about it all day every day)

I for sure would go to boise state before allot of schools there one of my top choices but they havnt talked to me or offered any schoolerships so i got to take what i can get and im sure UofI wont be the last to talk to me so I probebley wont end up there.

I think UofI has a paintball team getting started. A guy that plays at my field sometimes is going to school there and I am pretty sure that he said there was a team going there. You might want to check around. Anyway, I have a small field in Bonners Ferry Idaho that I run. But that is way up north and no good to you guys.

KGB---Bonners Ferry is about 3.5-4.5 hours north of Moscow. Lewiston is less than and hour. The guy that runs the field in Lewiston is the captain of one of WGP's amature teams which is based in Lewiston. They are pretty dam good. They also have a pretty nice field. That is where I would be going to play if I were you.

KGB I am pretty sure there is a public transport shuttle that runs between Moscow and Lewiston ID. I think it also goes over to Pullman WA as well. Don't know if it runs on the weekends though. I think it has something to do with the schools there. Might be something for you to look into.

yeah, i kinda figgured, but i wasnt sure. that would be kickass. I really want to play up there, but that's the only place I know of. Heard UI was gonna get one, either a club, or whatever, but that is probably wrong.

About the field in rexburg, it is there, but its not really in rexburg. Its in menan. It's a woodsy field, with FPO and 10 bucks to play. Not really worth it, but it would be fun to go there once in a while. From what I saw, they were using harcore crap paint. I got shot in the grill twice (seperate games) and both times when I took my mask off I couldnt see the shell or fill. Nice people tho.

Hey KGB Bonecrusher, yeah, I'm the guy with all the questions on your Bushy. I love my Palmer Blazer (which I wasn't playing with the day you were there) but I'm seriously wanting an ICD gun.
On that note, I was reading thew posts from ICD on this site, sounds like their customer service / tech people have a stick up their a**.

Anyway, by hook up, I mean let's get 5-7 people who can play, and want to travel, and go blast some of these tournys. Who runs the tourn. in WY?

no, the icd guys are actually hella good, but you have to know who to talk to. they don't like being asked "dumb" questions, such as how to adjust the regs and whatnot. If you got one, you could deffinitly e mail me about it. As far as sending the gun in for repairs, there are 3 really really good places to send it. vaporworks, shootpaint, and lastly, ICd themselves.

as far as getting 5-7 guys together, maybe. We (my team) are looking to do at least one tourney in IF, pokey, and utah this year.

Nampa resident. The choices here are pretty flipping slim. 2 of the 3 fields in the area are owned by the same guy and none of the fields are really anything spectacular. It would be kick butt to have the kind of market that could support an SC Village, a CP Xtreme, or a Skirmish USA. Oh well.

I am from Idaho, but am currently in NC. There are fields in Boise (Splat), Merridian (Aktion Zone), and an outdoor field in Sand Hallow (Aktion Zone) off of Exit 17. There is also may be a field in Ontario, hard to remember.

It's hard to find good places and people that want to consistantly practice. But keep the faith guys, the practice pays off when you go to play other places.

Idaho is so isolated with the long distances and low population density it's hard to keep a team together. Then there's the money issue, nuff said on that.

Also, buy at least one Bushmaster, ya gotta support ICD, they're the only local professionals in the sport :)

well, i dunno about you, but i dont have enough money to just blow it on more than likely getting my *** handed to me. There are a lot of other, cheaper tournies around here. Sounds kickass, but I don't think we'd do to hot witha pieced together team that really can't practice on that type of field. However, If we come to find out that those rookie teams really don't have loads of cash to blow on paint, then I'd consider it. otherwise, pokey and IF will do for me :P

I was down at Gary's (GnH) today. He was like hell yeah, he thinks we could put two or three teams in those mount west tournys. Three other guys were in his house/shop seemed to be up for it. $200.00 team entrance isn't pricey.
Anyway, think about it, I know just between your Bushy and my Palmer Blazer, we can through as much paint as ANY team I've ever seen. I doubt we'd get our butts handed to us.

well if you, me, gary, my buddy, and one of gary's buds were in on it, hell yeah. However, we are also goign to that tourney in greybull, so my and my bud wouldn't have the kind of cash to drop on too much paint. If they got 20+ teams, there is no doubt in my mind both of us would need 2+ cases, and neither of us could afford that.

However, if someone backed us, we could do it. ill talk to my bud and gary.

Idaho Paintball Supplies,
in cooperation with Walking Eagle Enterprises,
presents the first ever Caldwell Cup Tournment.

When: May 1st & 2nd
Where: Walking Eagle field in Sand Hollow.
Time: 0900
Format: 3 person speedball event on a NPPL designed 5 person field.
Regulated time to 5 minute max game length.

This event is geared towards the beginner and has restrictions to limit play to accomodate them:

1) Paintball markers can only be pump actuated or semi-auto blow back models (SABB)
Examples of a SABB marker are any model of Tippmanns, Spyders, Paradox, Piranha, or similar designs
** Rentals are available if you do not have your own equipment **

2) The only permitted air source will be CO2.
Compressed air, Nitrogen, and HPA will not be allowed.

Entry fees per 3 person team:
Up to Apr 30: $75
Day of event: $100
(A fourth team member is free if registered as an alternate. Only 3 persons per team can compete at a time though.)

Schedules for teams will be posted Thur prior.
The sooner you register, the smoother it will go.

Paint available at the event (per 2000 round case):
GAP Fury: $45
PMI/RPS Evil: $65

Lunches will be available.

sure. we dont really have set times, especilly now, but when the weather gets better it is pretty much every saturday at around noon. prices is something along the lines of $4 for field fee, 12 for rentals, 60ish for a case (depending on the kind of paint) field paint only... air is about 3, co2 is 2-4. directions... o lordy.. well.. its out in the middle of the desert. if you know the road to the site, you take that road out about.... 7-8 miles past reed's dairy. its on the left, and has a small sign that says the old field. that's about the best diractions i can give you.. :P

The one real truth I learned from that day, is that ANY game can turn on the slightest, the littlest break. I don't think any team there would/ could beat any other team every time.

One key person hit, one guy plugged on the break, one hopper not turned on.

I wish we could have Manitoba in the finals over again, we had such good position on them, our front guy (MAtt) was way up the snake. He slips, head comes up a fraction of an inch, we lose.

Thats' what makes it great though!!!!!!!!

so it turns out my source, the person who's land we would be on, is a complete jackass. we have been asking him all week, "are you sure we can use your land?" "yeah, stop asking". today, we ask him, he said "I don't know, I haven't asked my dad yet." turns out the land is rented away, so the field is probably a no go. Now I have to take like 30 tires back to les schwab... goddamnit.

tab - We won't be in SLC this time but are planning on the next one after that. Half our team will be in Oregon for the Naughty Dogs clinic this weekend and my guns are still getting anodized, that's too much travel and stuff going on right now.

We do want to meet you guys in Poky, I talked to Mike there about my new Idahopaintball website and he is pretty stoked about it. I metioned that we'd be up to practice soon. It will have to me in August after the tourney and before you guys head back to school.

Cyborg - GC is still around, they don't play many local tournaments any more and were supposed to play in SLC. I do think that they are playing all the XPSL tournaments.

Hey im an Meridian kid only 13 but i like to paintball a lot and get alowance lol anyways i play at aktion zone pretty regulary and kurt sucks he is a horrible business person I could run a better business then him. He only hires family and close friends and doesnt even pay them he only gives them a discount on paintball products, and he like never cleans the place its like all painty and crap... and its expensive and he always acts like he thinks your dumb...He treats me like i dont know crap which I do probably know more than him about spyders... anyways I paintball and see him regulary. cam you dont have enough money to go to pirate paintball unless you are splitting a case of paint between ur friends... i would never go paintballing in boise without 40 dollars...thats with 2 other friends....splitting prices...ohh ya everyone i tried out splat, it is waaaay better than Aktion Zone, everyone is sooo much nicer their, im going to try sand hallow when it is warm enough again...then pirate paintball too...Its winter so its time to save up for paintball season again...
maybe i will just buy a couple upgrades during christmas break such as a Tigershark bolt, 15* Assault block, maybe HPA tank, and maybe a regulator, definatly a new steel hose though (sick of getting cut)

Jaggy, you've got mail. What's the competition like here in Idaho? I've played tourneys in IL, WI, MN, and IA and wondered how Idaho ball compares.

Competition is good. We have some pretty good teams like Aftermath and the BK Dogs. Ground Control took Vegas but most of their players got swallowed into Aftermath. There are some good tournament series out here and in Utah. I keep a oretty up-to-date list of all the local events and tourneys for Idaho Ballers.

If you are moving to the Boise area there are several serious team out there. Aftermath, Ground Control, Autopsy, Chill Factor, and the Crusaiders. That is off the top of my head. You shouldn't have a problem getting out with the last three but you gotta be pretty good for the first two.

Rexburg will have a new speed ball / airball field starting in March. It'll be a netted, insured field, regulation tournament size. Levelled grass field.
The air ball was an expensive purchase, but the bunkers will be excellent (18.5 gauge), we hope to draw in teams with a cash tournament series.

Adjacent to the airball will be a two acre woodsball field.

Cheap paint for sale at the field (60.00 Marb/evil, $40.00 RPS Stinger) or bring your own.
$4.00 to play all day!! $13.00 if you need to rent.

Definitely Tab. Saturdays are going to be open to all, all day. Any other time will be by appointment (8 or more people).

Great teams (like yours) we want up there as often as possible throughout the week (and even on Sat). I can guarantee you Quality Control will be practically living there!! I'll PM you whenever we plan on practicing - you guys come scrimmage with us.
