your the kinda person I was thinking of when I made my site. Go to dfw paintball (http://dfwpaintball.cjb.net). Anyways I play official paintball out in forney because its the closest, and they have the most fields. From Mesquite (right next to dallas) its about an hour away in a town called forney. Its all outdoord with 2 speedball fields a couple woods, and soon there will be a sup air field. Anyways go to my site to look at field info.

PGD also relocated their field just South of Mesquite from what i heard. It's supposed to be a really good place when all the fields are done. If I'm not mistaken, it's off of Lake June and 635 where some old ranch used to be. I'll let you guys know more when i get some info. Laterz!!

Hey starzman, let me know when you are going out to DFW adventure park, Maybe we can get a few guys together to throw some ball.... Speaking of throwing ball.... anybody know where we could go to maybe play some pirate ball around here? hell all we need is some woods and about 10 people. I've got 3, we get a few from here.... sounds like gametime. I can get a chronograph.... any takers?
Beefullo

There are quite a few ball fields right in the North Dallas area. Todd and I play quite a bit at DFW Adv Prk because they're reasonably priced, great fields, and very close.
I've heard good things about Dallas Paintball, although I've never been. They're about 15 minutes (plus or minus depending on traffic) south of your area towards Dallas.
People tend to rave about the Forney Scenario games, and I hear they have good fields. It is a bit of a drive though, and not one you'll want to make every weekend, IMO.
I live in Lewisville, go to church in Denton (north of Lewisville by about 15 minutes). There are TONS of churches in Lewisville. Depending on your flavor of Christianity, I'd suggest you try out Vista Ridge Methodist Church (live jazz/contemporary music) off of Coppell RD. Lakeside Baptist Church off of Main St in Lewisville (large church with a very traditional, large choir feel), First United Methodist Church is on main st. in Lewisville. It's a little less contemporary than Vista Ridge. And if you're REALLY into contemporary christian music, Fellowship Church off of 121 towards DFW Airport is world famous for their Sat & Sunday services. Go one Sunday just to check it out. It's more of a rock concert than a Service and the people are real nice.

Thanks guys for all the info. Here I only have one choice but out there it looks like there are plenty of fields. I will be out looking for a house on the 10th then permanently moving at the end of Dec. Hope to see some of you out there (with my paint on you of course!!!):D

Ok... got back from checking out the new field at PGD and it is "BAD ***"!!!!!!!!! The field we played at the whole day was a combination of hyerball and airball and the facility is very clean. They also have pony rides, petting zoo, boat rides..etc... for the kiddos. Definately a place to play.... hope to see everyone there sometime soon. If anyone's wanting to get some practice going, let us know!! Laterz....

opens at 10am.. right now there are 2 fields but the only one we really play/practice on is the hyperball/airball field. I can play there all day. $10 bucks to play and that's including all day nitro.
Beefullo
12-11-2001, 06:39 PM
Pretty cheap for all day nitro! Anyways can you use your own paint?
Madskillz
12-11-2001, 07:48 PM
Yes, bring your own equipment, own paint, gear up, pay your $10 bucks and get ready to step on the field.... If you like concept fields (hyperball, speedball, airball.. etc..), you'll like this field alot. Laterz!!

hey, i was there too saturday from about 11-4. about the price though, they considered this weekend the grand opening so i think thats why it was only 10 bucks, air included. but i think what they will do is charge $18 for a field fee, no paint fee, and then probably keep the $10 for all day air and maybe set up other prices for fills. they also mentioned keeping the 50 per case for a while. what gun were you shooting and all, im wondering if we played with/against eachother, and maybe i could figure out who you are
Madskillz
12-16-2001, 10:53 PM
Emartin... we don't usually play rec anymore. We dropped by for a little bit Saturday afternoon to check out the field for practice today (Sunday). We had a closed 10man practice today and I think it's going to stay $10 bucks for tourney players.

Well I got out here and was watching the news tonight (fox 4) and they did a feature on the fields out in Forney. I went by dfw adventure park this afternoon but no one was there. I guess out here in Texas you don't play in the rain. Out in Oregon if we didn't play in the rain we didn't play much at all.......:)
Milhouse
12-17-2001, 10:13 AM
Most of the fields around here get VERY sloppy if it rains. Especially like it did this weekend. But the fields also dry out pretty quickly. You can't get to the Forney fields after it rains unless you know the back way.

just went to the new official paintball of dallas paintball ranch today off lake june and 635
they still starting off but have a nice hyperball/sup air field going with lights for night games....reffing was the best so far of any other place i've been...10 bucks for field fee and all day air if you go before 12 on sunday...now that is CHEAP!
Madskillz
12-24-2001, 07:54 AM
vthon.... did you go yesterday (Sunday)? We were there too with a couple of guys from the team. Which group did you play with? I might have seen you there since there were only 2 groups.
Anyways, I gotta agree that this field is going to be the place to play once they get all their fields set up. They really seem to care about their customers. $10 bucks a day with all day air.... can't beat that!!!!
vthondaboi
12-24-2001, 06:09 PM
i was playing with the B group because i didn't feel like getting bunkered yet
came there in a group of 6 asian peeps...i had a white long sleeve, blue mask and a black angel
we might consider playing in that texas havoc and animal paintball tournament since we're noobs as long as the field of competition ain't too tough

12-24-2001, 06:15 PM
v.... cool, i think i remember you guys. We played with group A... bunkering's alot more fun and we didn't lose a game all day.. hehe. I had the red headwrap on with white/black leopard pring headband with black Animal paintball shirt that says Texas Havok in the back. I was shooting the red/black acid was freeflow.
Yeah, come to our tourney, should be alot of fun and we're making sure that only novice/rookies play and the field will be 2 speedball fields from what I know so far. We're probably going back there this weekend since we don't have practice till 2 weeks. Maybe we'll see you there sometime.

i played saturday and my god...that is some good paintball. Even with it being a little chilly there were a good 30 people there at least. It was $20 for all day air and field fee. Besides that the people are great. Might be out there sunday or saturday if the weather is ok.
Madskillz
12-31-2001, 03:56 PM
Rogue.. what time did you get out there? Coz i think they charge only $10 bucks if you get there before 12. Or it might be for tourney players..... not sure. But i agree, the hyperball/airball's awesome. They should have their western airball field setup in about 2 weeks. They'll eventually have at least 8 fields. Looks like this is gunna be the place to be in Dallas. We practiced this Sunday, it was cold but still had fun.

Flair... never been to Hit and Run. You guys should try the new PGD in Double D ranch. Teams practice usually on Sundays. We've got some pics of the new field at www.texashavok.com. Go to the PICS page and click on the 12-16 or 12-30 practice. Both those are at PGD.

hey, madskillz, u are on havok? YA the $10 thing is for sundays only. Saturday and friday night it is still $20. Not bad at all for all day air still. Ya tammy (sp?) said the western field would be up pretty soon. It sounds pretty cool. The flagstation is a bunker the shape of texas...pretty sweet if you ask me.
Later,

Rogue... yes, i play for Texas Havok. Do you play for a team? i didn't know that the $10bucks only goes for Sunday but even $20 isn't bad at all. I can't wait till they get the other field/s setup and i do hope they bring the NPPL to Dallas... long shot but worth a try. That would save us one plane ticket to a NPPL event. hehe... hit me up on my AOL name sometime... scribbler2001@aol.com

It's been really cold but DFWAP is only about 3 miles from home. thanks for all the good stuff guys and hope to see you out there (with my paint on you of course)

Can one of y'all explain to me when this Friday night thing is and where?
I have been trying to find some good paintball play that isn't on the weekends because I always work weekends at Official Paintball in Forney - which is - by the way - an awesome field. I just wish I got a chance to play more often.

I'll be playing more once I get a new Nitrous tank and a few upgrades that I want to have on my gun. Right now, my friend and I are just saving money up and plan to upgrade our guns. We'll be playing all Summer long if we can as long as work doesn't get in the way.

BadHuey... They should be getting their other "western" airball field set up soon... like in a week or 2. We usually play or practice there on Sundays. Come out there sometime and join in the fun.
Hey everyone. The Texas Havok tourney is this weekend and we've got 30 teams already (we cut teams off at 30) and have 3 teams on reserve. Animal Paintball and National Paintball will have a booth set up there and the Animal Grrrls will be on hand to take pics and hand out prizes. Even if you're not playing, come out and join us. There should be some good 3man action going on and i think PB2Xtreme Magazine will be there to cover the event. It will be a paintball weekend for us since we're practicing 10man on Saturday (with the teams also walking the fields) and reffing/working the tourney on Sunday. Hope to see you guys there.

Sorry - I am not going to be back in the State until the 20th. I would like to get on a team for a few of your tournaments before May though - I just need to find some people willing to practice on days other than Sat and Sun. No teams really want me right now because I can't commit to summer events (I will be in Michigan for a law internship over the summer).
I have 4 years of tournament experience though if there is anybody out there who would like to put together a 3-man team to enter some of these.
