I've used a Sentinel for a while now, and I've never had a problem with them ever. Until now. Yeah, the problem is I have to recock the marker every time I fire off a paintball. I've tried changing out the valve pin, and I've replaced the valve and hammer o-rings. None of that has worked. When I fire, it sounds like there isn't enough air getting to the valve. It's really pissing me off.

Does anyone know what is wrong with my Senti?

Have you added any accessories lately?
is your airsystem the same as before?
where is the velocity adjuster set at?
Have you unscrewed it all the way w/ the same result?

Mine did the same thing. I took it apart, cleaned, changed the oring, oiled, and it worked perfectly again.

I haven't added anything recently.

Same air system.

Velocity is unscrewed all the way out.

Make sure the valve retainging screw isn't screwed in to far. On my raptor if the screw was in to far it would cause the valve pin to rub on lock on the screw, not alowing the marker to cycle properly.

See how much force it takes to open the valve by pushing forward on the cocking knob/pin while the marker is degassed and uncocked. The main thing is to feel whether it opens and closely smoothly and not rough like something is grinding.

Maybe AM should consider revamping the Sentinel valve to have a sealed off bottom, like the ShockTech Rat 3:16 for the Cocker...
