I've owned almost every type of high end marker out there. Nothing has made me as happy as my Speed does. But, honestly, its all about what you feel comfortable with.

yes, i agree, i love how balanced my angel is and how lite and pretty small compared to other guns ive owned. I have nothing against timmys but I feel much more comfortable with my angel.

yeah timmys are electric spyders in tippmann bodies ;) but seriously, i used a speed all day at our tournament last weekend and i can see no upside to an intimidator

No upside? hehe thats what i like to hear :). How did your angel perform? good range? good accuracy? hella fast? tell me :)

all of the above.

for all angels in general, they are kickass markers. timmy's, trix's, and eblade cockers are the hot guns right now. but just because they are hot doesn't mean they are the best. sure, i'd love an eclass orracle, but i wouldn't give up my angel for it. angels are to reliable and low maintenance, not to mention fast, to not have.

think about it angels have been around for ever. whys that cause they are great guns. timmys and matrixes and all those types are just fads trying to compete with angels. coo thing about angels is u can play with assecories and settings and get it to just how u want it. and they are very easy to maintaine unlike a timmy where as they need ram bumpers and cup seals. same for a matrix witch needs to constantly be greased and needs orings and stuff. they are like holes u throw money into and never are as good as a angel.

The next time someone offers a blanket statement like that without any facts or figures to back it up, simply disregard their opinion and move on.

No gun is signifficantly more accurate than the other. They all use air to propell gelatin balls through a barrell at the same speed and are all thus just as accurate as one another. Consistency and paintball to barrel match determine accuracy.

Classic reply to the accuracy issue by a guy who shoots a Tippman....j/k

No, but for real. If you don't have a gun setup right, with decent regs, barrel, etc. it won't be accurate. I've shot cockers, angels, and shockers that weren't accurate at all. It was because the owner didn't have it setup right.

Ruzhy is right in that all guns can be made as accurate as the next.

It's a joke. I understand there is no sniping in paintball. Actualy by definition sniping is striking the enemy while remaining hidden so in woodsball there is sniping but by what you ASSUME sniping to be, I understand there is no such thing. Plus I sight down the side.

Chill out buddy, I was refering to the fact that you are not a SoCal Sniper, and therefore you can't be an uber sniper or whatever you said. Check my sig.

Ok, do you get it?

speed...ultralite...halo b...2k3 conquest=sickest gun ever.

i get great efficiency, super consistent and accurate, and reliable. speed all the way. not to mention angels just feel more solid and well put together then timmys.

timmy=$1200 electro spyder.

Well, having just bought a Speed and customizing it, and playing with MANY timmys around my area, I can tell you that the Angel is no more accurate, but what I CAN tell you is that Angels are mosre consistant than Timmys for this reason:
Intiminators have a feature on the circut board that turns up the dwell automatically as the gun fires to compensate for lost battery charge, which, and I have witnessed, will make it shoot hot after awhile, I have a permanent scar on my side from a timmy shooting 340 fps in a bunker move gone bad (Did a run by and he turned on me). And just earlier he was shooting 297 over the chrono, I know, i checked him because i'm also a ref. ALSO: Angel Speeds are faster stock than a WAS timmy could EVER be, the field owner has a Lasoya timmy with WAS and I could outshoot him and this is a man who has owned every highend marker know to man, including a Speed but "Didn't like it". Also, have you noticed how far the vert asa is away from the trigger frame!?! Its like a tippmann M98 almost! And yes, it is just a spyder with a solenoid and a ram. Timmys also kick ALOT more than my angel, get alot less shots off a tank than my angel, and a Stock speed can keep up with ANY timmy out there in both consistancy and speed. Just put a sweet airsystem and a EggyII on it and you got the sweetest marker as of right now, I'm sceptical about the A-4s, otherwise I would've just gotten one of them. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the A-4s are badass, but... I don't like the new milling, just personal preference, and the vernier wheels seem like just another thing to break. to sum it all up:
Timmys: Save $1000 and buy a Spyder electra
Angels: Well worth the $900

Is this true? Ive never heard of anything like that before. Got any other links or sources? Id like to read more about it.

I own both. I love both. The ACE is a superior antichop device but the Speed feels way better, looks so much nicer, and I can shoot it faster (because its more comfortable to me).

I read that on automags.org awhile back. I thought it was B.S. but apparentally its not. It is supposed to go up very slowly, but In WAS boards (I'm Told) it goes up faster than the stock, which is why Miami Effect kept on getting Chrono'd at 330fps during X-ball games. I belive that should be illegal, but it depends on the battery used, if its a good battery, the velocity will increase, but if its not, the battery will die faster and thus keep the same or lower FPS.

well it depends, are u talking about sc ironmen who are th assasins, or just the plain ironmen

actually the sc ironmen arent the assasins. bob longs ironmen turned into the assasins. and the SC ironmen are still the ironmen.
they are both solid teams as well.

strange you would say that as i went to an angel from a cocker cuz the grip frame and front grip were too close. a friend of mine got an angel cuz he didnt like how on his imp the AI frame makes the fore grip and grip frame too close. not flamin or anything i just find it interesting.

I find it more comfortable being the frame and the flash chamber close like that

jomama22
09-10-2003, 02:32 PM
the only reason i went from a cocker to an angel is for the fact that i like guns with the asa/ flash chamber to be close, thats why i dont like timmies...but the new 2k4 seems to be copying the cocker and angel idea huh...
