Hello everyone, I just picked up an Illusion at IAO and I can't wait to use it. I just had a quick question though. I'm going to slap a reg onto it (probably my AA Messiah), and I was wondering, what the best way to adjust the velocity? The guys at the booth told me that I should set the reg to about 300 psi, but the Messiah can't have an output gauge installed onto it, so I don't know exactly how much pressure is being output. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Well, of course I can chrono at the field I practice at, I was just wondering whether I should rely more on a reg, or the velocity adjuster on the gun.

Greetings,
What works for us:
Adjust the velocity adjuster inside the grip all the way forward, not out, just all the way forward.
Then adjust your velocity with the reg starting at little or nothing on the pressure and work your way up.
You will need a chrono to get exact, but seat of the pants will get you going.

Ok, I kinda thought that's what I should do, basically set the on-gun velocity adjust it to max, and use the reg to set the velocity. Thanks.

And yes, Timmy WooHoo! Pettypb.com really helped with my Timmy questions when I first got it. You guys rock.
