Deadly Venoms (Tampa,Florida) are having open tryouts. We presently have an established ten man active roster. We are seeking to build an additional 5 man squad for the remainder of the 2007 season. We are a well established Florida team that originated in New York. We presently have a New York and Florida Deadly Venoms teams. We are also building another team in the Midwest as we speak.

We are seeking skilled, committed, tournament experienced players. We are a family and good friends. We hold ourselves to a high standard on and off the field. We are not looking for team jumpers, kids looking for free rides, cheater, or jerks.

You must be able to afford this game. This includes practice 3-4 times a month at either Legends Paintball Complex (www.Legendspaintballcomplex.com) or CFP. We also travel to scrimmage other teams throughout Florida. You must be able to afford local (CFP) and possible National Tournaments (PSP/NPPL).

We are a sponsored team. Sponsors will be discussed if you make the team. We will not have a one-day tryout. If you have the skills and personality we like, we will ask you back for a few practice to see if you fit in with the team.

Couple Guys Coming This Weekend To Legends FOR A TRYOUT. Should Be A Go Time.

Hey I just moved here from NJ... I played for D3 Divinity D3 OTP Factory and am owner and capt of D2 JerseyDistortion... I had guys playing for me that once played with your NY Venoms crew and practiced almost everyweekend with and against current memeber up in jersey... I moved to St. Petersburg... Looking to get right into it with some solid guys that are involved in serious events. I honestly would not even consider trying out for this team if you have any sense of respect for fellow paintballers. All they care about is how cool they're home field, jerseys, and gear looks together. Hence they all bought matching Egos w/out an Eclipse sponsorship.
That's besides the point. The point is that people on this team are OKAY with their teammate disrespecting a fellow tournament player's (a player who's team (30+ people) supports THEIR home field EVERY WEEKEND...or atleast did at one point) equipment (running over a brand new SL74 for a truck...SL74 was on top of a PB case and in PLAIN view). At the occurrence he said he will compensate, later on he found out how much it would cost, and says "I don't remember running over your gun...[etc.]" over a PM and I haven't heard from him since. Now the really funny thing is that I am a 18 year old student trying to make these work so I can play PB and just got this setup (SL, etc.) for graduation. The DV teammate who ran over my gun was 30+ and must've had a steady job playing pb with an EGO at that age. Don't let this story sway your decision, this may be the team for you.
PS: Just curious How long has Deadly Venoms been D3 5 man? Any plans to move up soon?

Guys do not waste any energy replying to this guy. His situation is with one person, not the team but he is too young to understand that. Not even worth our time. He used to be on United but he couldn't even stay on their team so don't sweat him. Just another angry, young, imature paintballer not worth dealing with.

haha thats funny. You dont even know the situation with united. Really its not any of your business and i ended up quitting on good terms wth th coach and everyone but one person on the team.
The situation was with one DV member but the captain and some teammates knew about it and was ok with it. How am i too young at 18 to understand if you destroy someones property even due to an accident you need to pay for it. I even offered to let him pay a portion of the costs which got me a reply of "oh wait i dont remmbr running over a gun anymore".
Im just putting the story out there, judge them at your discretion.
