blue locktite should work.. but u have to let it cure for 24 hours if u want it to stay put.... if blue doesn't work .. try red.
why are u locktighting it anyway?

Someone at my field told a kid to use red locktite to lube his bolt. The kid almost did it they had to lunge at him to stop lol.

There has been some idiot kid making threads in other forums saying that he used red loctite to lube his shocker and ion.

Yeah, my experience with loctite is letting it cure for longer can make a pretty big difference. When you're letting it cure, DON'T TOUCH IT. I've also used red and blue loctite pretty extensively and I've come to the conclusion that you really should never need red loctite. If blue isn't strong enough, then you've got some issues. Also, if it's for your feedneck, don't try to twist your hopper while its tightened, as this can sometimes shear the loctite if you try to torque it too much. Seems like common sense, but I've seen it happen pretty often.

I have been in paintball for years.... work on cars and motorcycles extensively... and i've never had to use red loctite.. ever.... Blue does the trick even on most nuts and bolts on cars, etc...
I agree w rinso.. if u need red.... u got some serious problems.
Key is not to touch it while it cures...

Blue loctite has very low torque, taking into account the size of a loader(which gives you quite good wrench over the neck) and the size of the feedneck threads, then i could bust open blue loctite'd feedneck witha fully loaded loader with 2 fingers.
in fact, my feddneck became loose due to the loader moving sideways(so i needed to correct it and it broke the loctite).
originally the neck has red loctite, and i's say use it, it's a part that's subject to major torque-stress.
ona note: Remember why it says that the loader should always be screwed and unscrewed clockwise(it is because the feednecks crews that way).

Why are you trying to twist your hopper?

i'm not, the vlocity does not fit well in the feedneck, the stock feedneck should have serrated walls/rubber to grip the necks firmly, even with the collar extremely tight(anymore and i fear something will break) the loader can spin almost freely without major effort

Bristle brush to the rescue. CLEAN (the hell) out of both sets of threads. then apply ALOT of blue or 1-2 drops of red. (I suggest putting it on both the body and the feedneck then connecting them. Let it cure for A COUPLE days.
I would suggest red personally, I know its scary stuff, but my stripped ion neck broke 3 times with blue

weird. my unsanded pulse fit perfectly. vlocity need tons of tightening but will still fit.

I usually just put one layer of electrical tape around the hopper's raceway. It fits snug without needing it too tight since the tape has some "cushioning (for lack of a better description)" to it it doesn't feel like I need to have it tightened to the breaking point. Another advantage to this is that if I dive and my hopper hits the ground and it twists, it usually slides where the adhesive meets the raceway. What I believe this achieves is that there is less torque put on the feedneck's threads in the aforementioned situation. I have never stripped or unscrewed my Quest's feedneck; although I have done it to my Matrix which did NOT have to have the hopper's raceway taped.

How do you get lock tight off of your feedneck. I got a gun and someone put it on and i NEED to get it off!

Red is used on engine bolts in cars, if you see it on a paintball gun it's overkill. You're right sir.
