okay, last tourney my team played we won, but were disqualified and took 2nd b/c my quest started bouncing midway through the tourney...I hadn't changed any settings in 3 months...anyway the next tourney in the series is soon and I need to tune the bounce out. I already have the trigger delay at 35 out of 50 (this is the GEn2 chip board) AMB setting at 5 of 5, dwell stock, LPR at 100. I am trying desperately to avoid adjusting the trigger if I can.....I have tried lowering LPR to 85....can't because when I do, the trajectory of the shot is so curved that I can't hit anything ( ), increasing trigger delay had a minimal effect, and my AMB is already maxed out....Someone help? It's a completely stock Gen 2 Quest with chip board with the exception of a snatch pin. I love the Quest but if I can't eliminate the bounce, I'm going to be stuck with an Etek, or worse, a DM6 :(

try with a spring, It worked for me.
You can use a pen spring or similar. Put it in the stopping screw, the one on top of the switch. I took the magnet off and did this, now I have no bounce and the "feeling" is quite good, as I like the spring and switch "click" touch.

If you dont' want to do the spring, your trigger adjustment might simply be screwing in the magnetic return farther. That eliminated the bounce for me b/c it would snap the trigger back and any "bounce" a ref might find was more mechanical b/c they couldn't hold the trigger firm on the sweet spot. Rather it was actually re clicking the switch so not really bounce.
You might have to locktite the screw in though so it doesn't fall out like it almost did to me!

tried increasing the magnetic return a lot, increased travel and put contact point further back, still bounces.......thanks though

make sure you really did increase the magnetic return. i find that the manual is backward to what actually works. the manual has you turn the screw out to increase when it actually decreases and vice versa. turning the screw closer to the magnet should make it stronger instead of away. you want the screw closer to the magnet than farther away. you may need to adjust the activation and backstop after this as well.

For me the screw that activates the micorswitch was loose, so the kick would twist it a little and it would re-activate the microswitch. A little loc-tite fixed it for me.

thanks, increasing the magnetic return and tweaking the adjustments for 2 hours made it perfect, no bounce and the set up is better than when I started....lol
