Either will work. HP or LP tanks have to do with the output of the tank regulator. HP tanks usually output about 800 psi and LP tanks usually output around 450 psi. Either way, the Quest inline regulator will reduce the pressure down to around the 200 mark where the quest operates at.

That will work, but I would call FEP to get a replacement.

btw does the end of the bolt uasully overlap the white spacer, or does the white spacer use it to separate the bolt and the bolt pin

It's there to stop it, so that's why you need to get yourself a new one. I believe an oring will do the trick temporarily, but get another spacer.

Actually a lot of people including myself have replaced the white plastic spacer with a urethane tank o-ring to help with FSDO... they actually hold up for a very very long time, and u get a lot less bolt stick with the o-ring....
A couple guys on here did a lot of testing with them, and they are working great....
I am using one for good from now on...

I have also done this, it has worked great so far. I've shot several cases through it (probably around 4-5) and the o-ring is still doing just fine. As far as I can tell, there are no significant disadvantages with this replacement. I keep the white spacer around just in case though.

Hmmm, maybe I'll have to give it a try.

What O-ring size are you guys using?

I just use a tank o-ring. Pretty much any paintball shop should have them, or you can find them for pretty cheap at Wal-mart if you don't have any sitting around.
EDIT: Oh yeah, just as with the spacer, it works better when you keep lube off of it. Overall though, it should reduce FSDO regardless.
