I have to say it looks really good, but the performance was above and beyond. I shot 7 pods and a loader full and still had 1000 psi, on a 45/45. I have to say I am glad they are not rushing it to production because with the changes still left to do, this gun was awesome as it was, I can only imagine how it will shoot when it comes out..

haha, I always laugh when I see the quest minivan. The other day I was driving behind a quest, the licence plate was FEP ####(numbers), and it had been bought at a dealership called Empire. I wish someone else who played paintball had been in the car.

LeftyFlip

I don't know the person. I was just driving behind them. It was last week, and I live in Tennessee so I expect it was licenced in Tennessee. If by crazy chance I'm ever driving behind them again, I'll take a picture.

You already know everything else is gravy. I'm curious about the sound because of the reported operating pressure.

I may be the only one that thinks a quiet gun is important. It is the only reason I haven't gotten an 07 Ego. Let me ask you guys this. When you are in a bunker and trading shots with another guy, you tell me you can't hear his gun shoot and know you can't pop out yet if it is a loud gun? I can deffinately hear a loud gun like an Ego or Angel and have a much harder time with a DM, FS or even a Shocker. The Quest isn't incredibly loud but I hope the Q-Seven is a bit more quiet.

i see what you mean, ego's sucks for noise level, but really, it will be quiet enough for your purposes

I listen for the paint............you may hear a gun shooting but he could be shooting at someone else. Listen for the paint grasshoppa.........when you can snatch the ball from my hand.....then it will be time for you to go.....

I think having 5 people on a team with the same marker drowns out the noise level as to wear if your relying on listening, your ninja skills will get you marked. Instead of listening learn to shoot constantly. If your posted up on lain infront of the next nearest bunker so they cant move on you, then head check and post back up and move. IF you waste your time trading shots snap shooting your going to loose the game. learn to shoot constantly learn to move learn to win.

Easier way for the slow people. Snap shooting with mirror = 50/50 crossing lanes making right moves = 70/30

yeah, you've got a point. I'm surprised noone else said that. During most games I'm yelling positions the entire time anyway

Yes, all these things are in play in a game. But, when your mirror has got you tucked in and you can hear his loud ass ego shooting, you can hear when he stops shooting. Now you know exactly when you can pop out, shoot him in and make an advance. And this would be harder if all the other players were using the same guns, but I can't even remember the last time I played against XSV.

actually jumping out right after you couldn't hear shooting would be the most inoportune moment, because sound travels faster than paintballs.

Not to mention the day your start focusing on your mirror is the day you fail at paintball. Unless your whole team is gone, your mirror is not your biggest concern....angles my friend... ANGLES-

<--------- Ninja Killer.....

Use'in ALL of your Senses is the Key to being good at Your Job.. except.. Maybe taste.. thats Debateable..

Sound Being an Important Part of Play, you also forget Sight.. Smell.. Touch.. you can easily Trick These other senses with the others... Knowing how to use Each of these To your Full Advantage is how you Can Really Thrive on the field.. and this is when you get to the Mental and Psycological Part of Paintball.. this is How i play My game.. This is Why i play Back..

Imo, if my Marker Was Quiet.. it would Ruin my total game.. I use it Just as much as i Distort Sight and Feel... i use Sound to Make people do What i want them to.. Regardless if its a Trap or a Signal...

If you want a More Descriptive Breakdown on this.. drop me a Pm...or hit me on aim.. dont hate me if i dont tell everyone the secrets...

Oh for Gods sake, I think I know this. If you hear a guy shooting and then you hear him stop and second later that last ball he shot flys by you and you don't hear him take any more shots you know you are clear. If his gun is quiet and he started to shoot again after pausing you may get one in the face. I'm not understanding why this is debatable. And who said anything about "focusing" on my mirror. This is ONE SMALL PART OF PAINTBALL. It is ONE of the many things that help you become a better player. One of the things that makes a good player a great player is split second reactions based on all the input he is getting on the field, including sight, SOUND, commumication, etc. That one or two seconds that someone else pauses because he isn't quite sure what is going on hurts his play. Having a little more idea what an oponent is doing when you can't see him is helpful. Physcojosh makes a good point about about a loud gun being helpful for some styles of play. His style is very effective against a lot of players. My style of play benifits more from a quiet gun. I play back, and I don't want the guy in the snake to know I am shooting one ball a second just over the the top of the snake where I know he is going to pop his head out. I don't want the guy I am about to bunker while I am shooting another guy in know I am on my way. I can understand why some guys like a loud gun to cause intimidation, fear, confusion, etc. I use stealth(at times, LU aDak, not all the time) to my advantage. I'm not sure how I can be any more clear. I am not "waitsing my time snap shooting", "focusing" on any one thing, or "jumping out" when I hear a guy stop shooting not realising sound travels faster than a paintball. This is ONE small part of the game that I use, and it helps.

All else being equal: quiet gun > loud gun

It might not be one of the top five qualities I use to choose a new marker, but it is undeniably better to have a decently quiet marker compared to a loud one. If for no other reason (and there are a few others) so you can hear your coaches/teammates chatter a bit better when you're rolling your gun.

Stop arguing about it.

Here is my law to winning paintball games, regarless of your gun's sound signature. Ready for this?

NEVER FIGHT FAIR

That's it. If you want to get into gun fights, victory will always be a 50/50 option. Angles and moves are far more effective than shooting fast. Snap shooting is a tool that you ideally never want to use. Be crafty!
