the WAS board caps out at 23 but the 07 quest i think has a lucky board and is faster so its at least 23

Its not FEP that caps the slenoid..its SMC that does. SMC is the noid mfg. Its the same noid that is in a DM4/5/C.

Unless they have changes noids......

i've seen dm noids cycle at 50bps, some idiot did something like the PR mod to his dm5 board

i love my quest but my biggest set back is that i can't get the gun to shoot faster than 12 bps on ramping with the highest speed setting and my hopper and gun has new batterys. i played today and i had to use my timmy because everyone played ramping and my quest was shooting really slow, for a high end marker. i have a nox chip in it. anny suggestions thanks

12bps is the bypass rate. Check that the eyes are clean and that you are using eye mode 1 or 2. Does the led blink yellow/blue?

Well I guess if you did enough modding to anything...you could get it to do what you wanted. SMC said the cap on the noid was 23.....they were contacted and asked long long ago...when the DM4 first came out. Besides 23 is more then enough and more and more tourneys are going to a max ROF 15 bps...so who needs more. If you dont hit it with the first 15 balls...more then likely the next 8 arent going to be on target either.

i grew up in the mechanical gun age........... i dont get why it matters sooooo much what bps your gun can shoot(playing ability will give you more opportunity to shoot people than how much you can shoot).....especially now with everybody capping how many you can legally shoot. if you can only shoot so many legally, thats all you can shoot. deal with it. doesnt matter a damn what your gun can shoot above that. folks need to get thier heads out of thier asses and learn that its not how much you shoot, but how well you shoot it. if someone can tag you in three shots compared to your 30, theyre a MUCH better player than you are.

 Agreed. Plain and simple, all high-ends are fast, we should know that by now. But shooting 12 bps or 22 bps is not my primary concern. If you want to buy a gun and show off how fast you can shoot on the vids and ect, good for you, don't get the quest, it's capped at 23. If you want to buy a light, small, efficient, and accurate spool valve with great customer service, go for the quest.

hehe, great customer service...
They put a new noid in my friend's gun w/o telling him first. The ONLY problem with the noid was that a wire was ripped. Thats a soldering job, not a replacing noid job...
Not to mention they charged over 100 bucks.

the noid caps the Quest at 23 bps

The NOID doesnt cap the Quest at 23bps.

The noid is actually fast enough to go 50bps with right current/voltage setups for rising and lowering ramp.

The Circuitboard programming is the cap in this case.

There is no cap on the noid! The board is capped at 25,so please stop this thread...The gun will shoot 30 bps if you could do that NOT!!!
