Vrtue made a custom board for RL and it's different from the standard Vrtue board for shockers. It has modified modes that are still legal, just different. The RL Vrtue Shocker board should be for sale in 2 months or so. I've heard its totally awesome. Ollie, and some other sponsored players use custom boards as well. Ollie plays in a modified PSP mode all the time. All of the Ironmen play in PSP, I think. Its better practice for NPPL, cuz their walking their fingers and the more you do it the better you are at it.

Legion probably has the Raiders figured out, usually second time they play a team they run the tables on them because they have such good coaching that can figure out the other teams breakouts.

I doubt it will be that close but Raiders are playin pretty well so ya never know.

Here's some reading you guys may enjoy based upon the scores I have available to me from LAO and MAO. If their were any statistical error's let me know. Otherwise enjoy my "analysis". If anyone can get me penalty stats I'd appreciate it.

#1 Legion (7-2) vs. #8 Raiders (4-3)
So far at MAO the Raiders seem to be relaxing a bit in their efforts to stop their opponents from scoring. In LA the Raiders were averaging 8 ppg vs. their opponent's 5.3 ppg, now at event #2 the Raiders are averaging 8.6 ppg but allowing opponents to score 8 ppg. This increase in points allowed by the Raiders turns each of their games into a battle for survival and places additional pressure on their shoulders. Drawing the Boston Legion as first round opponents for Sunday is going to do very little to relieve the Raiders of the additional pressure to defend against an aggressive adversary. The powerful Legion is a on 3 game winning streak, and one of those wins happens to be Saturday's 9-8 victory over the Raiders.

#3 Strange (3-3) vs #6 Ironmen (7-2)
Rankings can be deceiving, just ask any College Football fan. Ironmen fans should take some comfort in their Sunday draw against #3 Strange. The Ironmen were ranked 4th going into the Sunday leg of the LAO and just look how that turned out for them. Additionally the Ironmen's first round opponents are an inconsistent .500 team who on average this season have been giving up more points than they're earning (6.5 earned - 6.83 allowed).
The Ironmen are not invulnerable to an upset as we saw yesterday in their 6-7 loss to X Factor. However with a 10-2 win over Dynasty and a 7-6 OT win against Legion in the LAO finals the Ironmen have proven themselves to be a top contender in the NXL this year.
Opposite the Ironmen in Sunday's first round is an unproven team Strange. Strange has a 3-3 record with no real convincing wins. Each of their three wins have been by a single point margin; one of which came from a sudden death overtime against the Hurricanes (2-4). On Friday Strange allowed XSV to rally back from a 5-1 deficit to snatch up an overtime victory. Pbstar has reported that XSV had to carry on w/o Thomas Taylor who earned his team 14 minutes worth of penalties and managed to get himself ejected from the game.
The inconsistent Strange has their work cut out for them against the Ironmen-who happen to be 3-0 this season on Sunday. Assuming that the Ironmen make it to the second round they're guaranteed to face off against either Assassomous or X-Factor, both of which are the only two teams to have defeated the Ironmen this season.
