Hi,

I'd like to hear from some experieced Illusion owners on the common problems they have with the guns, if there are any. Where do you normally get leaks from, can replacement parts from other guns be used since Action Markers is out of business? Any problems with the sear wearing out? Has any body had a problem they can't fix since AM went under?

I have a basically brand new pre serial numbers AM-P Illusion still in the box. That I can't decide if I want to keep or sell. Seeing as how Action MArkers is out of business and I'm not one for tinkering trying to make parts or change parts to make them fit, I'm not sure I want to be botherd with it.

Any comments or information would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks,

Geoff

I do not have one of the pre-serial Illusions, but I'll comment on my experiences with one of the newer ones -

If you keep the marker well oiled with a few drops through the ASA every now and then, your internal o-rings should hold up okay for a while. I think mine bit the dust recently because I shelved my Illusion for something like a year and a half before digging it out and airing it up. I haven't taken it apart to check it out more thoroughly. There was a spare o-ring kit included in my box, there might be one in yours as well if it was from a while ago.

You shouldn't have a problem with the sear.

I have one of the pre-serial Illusion Pros, and have never had any problems with mine. Clean it out after play and add a few drops of oil, and it should give a long service life.
