APE Rampage Board

Accoring to their website the board is now released, unfortunately I run into errors while I try to buy it.

How do you guys think this will compare against nox/spitfire/virtue?

It will blow them away. I have been speaking to Jim from Ape quite abit. I think at first its programing will be abit confusing because it is different....which is GOOD, and will result in a much finer product. :tup: for 100% inhouse operations=not relying on parts, or quality from another supplier.... like the FEP harnesses and such.

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. So where the hell can I get my hands on one :)? Everytime I try to add it to my cart on the website it craps out on me.

On a side note, whats at the FEP booth at HB, anything interesting? Stuff to buy?


Edit: hehe I added it to my wishlist first and then from there to my cart. Now the question is should I really risk paying for it when I don't even know if they have them :P

YES - we do have them! Jim has some out at HP this week and we'll start shipping web orders next week. To be honest, we have the boards and the new product packaging, we're just waiting for the manuals....:xeyed:

I'll try and get thePDF versions of the manuals posted today for your review. Jim does all the web work so sorry if I screwed up the cart. I'll have him look at it on Monday when he gets back.....my bad...

Bought a board from Jim while in HB(Thanks again Jim!) and it took about 4 hours to fully comprehend the manual, but now that I understand whats going on its really easy to tweak with the settings, modify modes and such... By far and away the best purchase I made there!:D

Why did it take 4 hours to figure out.The best settings most of the time are the default settings.

It didn't take 4 hours, sorry. I was overexagerating to say that at first it is a bit confusing but once you figuere it out its not so bad... So far the best setings is actually the "Raiders Hot Start":D

There is one complaint I do have about the board... Some of the colors from the exteranl LED are hard to distinguish, but really that's not that big of a deal.

And yes you still use the FEP harness.

stock harness has durability problems, just grafted the ends that i needed onto a DM harness and it works like a wet dream.

quick OT question, would you guys see any problem with me sending my noid to crankwalk, getting the new style connector soldered onto my noid(I have the old style, and want one of his connectors which only fit the new style)?

Does the board support Millennium mode? I read that you can setup a whole different types of ramping modes, but what are preset? (could be good to put up on your webpage ;) )

YES - The Raiders Rampage board has Millennium modes as one of the 10 base firing modes. The other modes are:
Semi
Burst (programmable)
Reactive (Programmable)
Full Auto
Accelerator
Rampage 1 (Define your own Ramping)
Rampage 2 (Define your own Ramping)
PSP
NXL
and of course Millennium

Hey @the APE Crew: Will the Quests that are the new Generation (the new Raider gun and the new Quest) ship with the Ape Board ? Or is it still so that the WAS Board is the Stock Quest Board ?

Please get a contract with FEP to supply them with APE Boards because i know the Ion Board and they rock big time and i think the Quest Board also will be rocking !

:tup: :tup: Good for you, but sadly, i live on the OTHER side of the Atlantic. So that large body of water prevents me from ordering things from the states without a bunch of transportation via a third party, etc.

It didnt prevent you. You can order via Credit Card or Paypal and you will receive an APE Board even in Sweden. We ordered one here for germany and cant wait for it to arrive. :tup:

I think you need to ask him about because when you are having problems with ordering online you could phone with them. But there should be a phone number somewhere.

Send Jim or Joker from APE a PM and explain your situation.They should be able to get you the phone number at APE.They would have no problem getting you a order over seas.The problem with online credit card orders is APE's site might be only programed to US addresses and specs.Good Luck
