• Top Teams From Around the United States and Over 500 Athletes Will Compete for Xdrenalin™ Cup – National Championship Crown

Dallas, Texas (March 21, 2007) – Chris Raehl, President of the National Collegiate Paintball Association (NCPA) today announced that Xdrenalin™ Zone Paintball on Lake Grapevine has been chosen as the host site for the 2007 JT USA® National Championships for High School and Universities on April 20-22, 2007. Over 500 athletes from nearly every state will come to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex to compete for the crown. The event will be televised nationally and in 91 nations around the world.

“After last year’s successful tournament, it was a unanimous decision to return to Xdrenalin™ Zone Paintball at Lake Grapevine,” said Chris Raehl, NCPA President. “This year we are expecting an even more amazing turnout and event with a record number of teams choosing to compete.”

This year, the event has expanded even further with the addition of the JT USA® High School Paintball National Championships. “Now high school teams can compete in regional and national tournaments to bring their national title to their local school,” added Raehl.

“We are so excited to welcome back the National Championships for the second year,” replied Mark Davis, President and CEO of Xdrenalin™ Zone Paintball. “This sporting event is so unique that a private school like Letourneau University in Longview can aggressively compete with a traditional sports powerhouse like Penn State, Texas A&M and other Division I schools.”

“Xdrenalin Zone Paintball and the NCPA put together a great event last year, and the fact that more than 330 colleges field paintball teams demonstrates the overall and growing appeal of paintball,” said David Jones, Vice President of Marketing for JT Sports, parent company of JT USA. “Paintball is the fastest growing sport in America with participation up to 10.4 million participants, surpassing baseball participation for the first time ever. We are excited to be a part of the National Championships and believe that sponsored high school, junior high, and middle school club teams is the next big growth area for paintball.”

We need local high school teams competing in the Regionals and Nationals who are available for television features on the news. If you are interested, sign up for the tournament and let me know you availability for the tv cameras.

We also need team captains interested in being interviewed by newspapers in the DFW area - especially your home town community newspaper.

Last year we had 2 networks do 5-7 min segments. We expect a lot more based on feedback we've received so far.

College teams that are in the area leading up to the event are especially encouraged to contact us.

Thanks,
Mark
