there's no way its 7 ounces lighter, normal quest is 2lbs 3 ounces, that would make it 4 ounces lighter than the invert mini. There's just not that much to shave off.

BTW...anychance that the eyecovers and such will all match the guns anno? Maybe I am just a sap, but I love solid color markers....2 tone is just not my style.

i can get that off my ego, and DMs arent that bad i've owned 2 and even my dm3 is pretty efficient with the image bolt. my quest i think gets something like 1600 off a 68/45, but i havent tried it sense i rebuilt the hyper2 on it. plus i think dye has something big planned for the dm8, they have to compete with the ego 07.

I don't care for an inline pressure gauge, but I DO like having an LPR gauge; the extra weight doesn't bother me. I think the Quest is light enough. Looks nice, but I also think the reg is too close the the trigger guard. And I also don't like the look of the new snatch pin. I don't dislike it, but there is (IMHO) room for improvement (like perhaps a port for an optional LPR gauge). Just think of this a constructive criticism :)

With that being said I think that will be a bit costly if they think they are going to move alot of them. Why did I guess that price? Well you get the body kit, the snatch pin($40), the new bolt ($40), the headlock ($20). The total of the 3 parts alone without the body kit is around $100. I really hope they offer JUST the body kit without all the other accessories and at a decent price. Cross your fingers.

My GUESSES ON PRICING** these are purely speculation with no knowledge backing them.

1)They offer a body kit for 399, might seem abit steep but it is quality---something for poorer quest users who want to refresh the look of their marker, and have a LE.

2) Q7, sexy new look of our favorite gat, 10x more streamline...and 7 oz lighter.....I am betting on a $999 pricetag, probably droping to 899 a few months after release.

3) Kelevera, "Bad Dog", With all the features I have heard from Cole, and bragging from Dave....I see it around $1199 Like Bob Longs new(er) toy.

Considering the quality of the markers I think price is even more justified than most of the other 07 line around the league. The Dm7 maybe beautiful, but there is no way any gat is worth 1399+(I hope I dont eat my words on this.)

Last years Quest was $895 and it was the very first year, without going for any outrageous(=More expensive milling) just to show the world what the Quest had to offer. Now with a proven design (Flame somewhere else if your angry because you broke your own quest and your bitter....or if you thing poor harnesses & a defective run of GM bolts would make my statement untrue) they have the ability to mold it into one of the lightest, most streamline gats available...so yes it is going to cost more, aggressive milling is not cheap, ESPECIALY when your shaving 7oz, alot of OOPS might happen making a marker that slender, and those bodies will never be sold and be a loss(of $).

I was mentioning streamline to describe the milling style, almost a smooth aerodynamic...less blocky look, which makes the whole gun flow much better...

Good price break down but also factor in a new, 10x stronger feedneck design.

Dont make me loose it again about the resale. QUEST IS Late 05/early 06 marker, it started at 895 new. LOOK AT THE DM's and PM's and G7's. Their resale plumeted far lower than that of the quest. AND it was the quests first year! They were tourney prizes for teams that could not use them do to sponsorship...which means quick sale for the team fund.

Be happy resale was strong...It is sill not too bad. It will level out around 500.

I paid 850$ Shipped for mine Back in Oct/Nov of 05.. it was a First Run.. not more then maybe a month out... And i can still sell it for 5-600 ...Not bad for a marker almost 1 1/2 years out... Now the 06 timmy i had on the other hand.. less then a year and its down to 5-600... which Retailed for More...

Resale only seems to be Down as of now.. HB is comming, everyone wants new Toys Etc... after HB it should even out pretty well like Lu_aDak said.. and hey if not. more power to those Joining the family.

I disagree. While the mini does have a small BODY....the rest of the gun is actually huge compared to most mosters so....there is room to play with on the quest. That weight may also be with new barrels, regs etc which could also be lighter than the originals.

i hope that the Q-seven reg isnt too close to the grip frame like with the invert minis...because holding the mini is not very easy, theres nothing to wrap your hands around...and i like the fact that with my quest i can really "hold" the gun...it gives me a good steady platform for shooting...hoping that the new Q-seven has an adjustable grip frame position like the quest as well cuz i want one!!

hmmm............quest vs ego is a matter of preference and im sure several folks here will want to string you up for saying you like your ego better.
personally i wasnt impressed with the ego6 i had my hands on, but that IS just my OPINION. its a very nice gun, just not worth the price tag to me.

I will snitch until the day I die. I have no shame. If a friend of mine leaves a bar after drinking and refuses to be driven home. I tell him/her that I hope they get pulled over and receive a DUI. I even called the cops on a drunken boss of mine years ago.

Josh Silverman is the co-producer of the CFOA with Larry Motes. He used to be co-editor of PB2X magazine and has been taking pictures for magazines forever. He's not a "player" per say, but he's been around the game for a long time.

Seems that a young 24 yr old driver ran a red light and lost the front half of his car. Left leg snapped in half and screaming his head off with blood all over his face. He wasn't wearing a seat belt either. The other car was 100 meters down the road .... on its roof. After the rescue crews showed up and I got back in my car after trying to help the injured driver; I was shaken up for the rest of the day. So before you start gabbin' off at the mouth, think about what you say.

In regards to not being happy with the free guns you got as a prize package; Suck it up Princess. Nobody here feels any sympathy for you. My old team still hasn't gotten ANY of its prizes that they were promised from last year.

The Quest is still the best shooting gun I've used in the whole 17 years I've played this sport. You should be thankful.

sorry I replied late but I´m in germany for the week...1st-Ghost 271 that was well said 2nd-people who drive drunk should get reported and receive much harsher sentances. 3rd-maye I am a little skitzo, but I have shot both guns, and the quest has shot better than any other ego (and any other gun for that matter) that I´ve ever shot. looks better than the 05 and 06 egos by far and costs half the 07 :)

ok im pretty sure the extra set of holes are in case the first set strips... they definately do not move back an inch... more like a centimeter or two... i have mine in the back position right now and it is barely a difference from the forward position

dont get me wrong i love my quest.. and shoot it over my nxt just about every time... but i do like the feel of my nxt over teh quest because of the forward position of the reg, giving your hand more room to grip the reg
