Talk to your principal or whoever manages your clubs at school, and ask them.

Well, this is how it works at my school...

You need to get enough kids (10-20 out of a school of 4,000) who are interested and will sign a waiver/petition.

You then must get a teacher who will act as coach or supervisor of this new "club"

If you get enough kids and a teacher who will back you up, go to the principal and say that you're interested in starting a new club.

That's the hard way.

The easy way is, find some kids at your school who like paintball, and play. Do that first, and it'll be easier to get the school's recognition.

More information is available at www.high-school-paintball.com.

The Sticky up top says that you don't have to be recognized by your team to participate. You all simply have to go to the same High School - not have an 'official' team from it.

I'm going to email my principle & athletic director.

ive been trying for the past two years to get my principal to allow a paintball club/team and he won't even consider it despite the fact that i had a petition with 20 signatures saying they would participate, and a willing teacher to sponsor who plays himself, because he thinks it will give ballard a bad image having kids shooting guns as part of a club. I showed him safety information compared to football and everything and he just wont budge. even wrote an editorial for newspaper and he gave no response allowing it. As a second semester senior i think i have finally given up on bringing paintball to my high school, but good luck to all who try

would you have to have other schools that would play or what? What would be the benefit of having a school team?

Lol I bugged my Athletic director about 10 times in a week, the last time he told me to stop asking and that it would never be considered in the school district because of this reason: "All the rich kids would be good, and all the poor kids would be bad"

thats why your highschool would need to work hard for a sposership so everyone can afford a decent gun and gear.

Kids put too much hype into their guns.

Good players with 'bad' guns will beat bad players with 'good' guns. I see very good pump players beat average electro paint hosers all the time.

A kid with a Spyder who practices all year will be more valuable to you than a kid with a $1,000 gun who thinks he's already good.

i would have keep asking him any way. fuck that guy because if that were so that would be the same for every single sport because i would have better baseball bat, wrestling shoes, tennis racket, swiming trunks whatever, dumbest thing i have ever heard. i would keep bugging him if for no other reason but to piss him off and maybe he would just say yes to get me off his back.

I tried to get a team at our school, but the athletic director thinks that "shooting guns at other people is wrong." Even though we have a skeet team and a sporting clays team, where they shoot shotguns, apparently its wrong to "shoot" other people. So he won't budge, and even after I showed him how often people get hurt in paintball compared to other big Texas sports (like football), he still wouldn't budge. Good luck getting one at your school though.

My highschool has an "Adventure Pursuit Club" we use as a cover to play paintball. They also usually have a rock climbing event and people this year are trying to plan a big laser tag thing.
My freshman year, the club got a bus and drove 40 people + gear to a big (like 150 people total) scenario game. All in all it was a good time, and thats coming from someone who doesn't even like to play woodsball.

Just name your club something that can be more than paintball. Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting, Laser Tag, whatever you have to do to get people on board.

i think some schools are in areas where there are more paintballers.....see lots of the "paintball groups" @ my school are five or six neighbors that shoot mech spyders and think there the shit....not all of them are bad, but all of them are far from good deffinatly...infact for a leadership project i had last semester we had to host an event of some sort (party ect...) so i decided to play reball....i got some special permit and had my backyard inspected, i borowed a set of nets from a friends dad that runs a store, and i had a fill station....we put together all the guns we could outa whatever was laying around and it was awesome...i can honestly say there are mabyt three decent paintballers at my school, everyeone elese looked like they had never played b4...it was a blast tho (we rented the reballs from some place that closed down b/c someone gave a bs credit card for their security deposit and the guy working didnt run it right and thought it was fine and they stole ALL the rebals ((cept for like three tubs))(((each tub was 5k reballs or they had 1k tubs too))))but it was a blast, wasnt exactly a school club but we ran 5on5's for a few hours...and theres nothin like bunkering your teacher...

Well if someone would put a big paragraph about trying to get your high school a team, it could be really useful...

The only difference between someone with a 100 gun and another with a 1500 gun is 1400 <-- thats me :P

As far as the teacher saying all the rich kids will be good and the poor will be bad. That is bs. The rich kids will go out and buy a 1200 dollar angel and ruin it because they don't know what the hell they are doing.

But like I've always said.

It's not the gun. it's the man/girl behind the gun..

My friend, I could not agree more! If the kid is what this teacher is calling poor, then they are more apt to take care of the gun and work hard at getting better with it if they are dedicated to the sport! Like somone was talking about earlier, it has been proven that if someone works hard enuff with a mech gun they can beat someone with a high end gun! (I've been beaten with a mech gun and I own an Ion:xeyed:!

i know. theres no way im rich, but im still a half decint player. i was sick this whole week so i couldnt go talk to my sports director. should i ask for a club or a team... theres no difference to me cuz if its just a club we can still get guys for a team, but idk what the school would want???

I'd probably say ask for a club. If you ask for a team, that'll mean it has to be directly run by the school.

theres only like 2 kids in my school other than me who i no would actually be good for a team if we had one. one of my friends who plays back when he plays speedball but doesnt really like speedball for some reason and is really into woods ball, and a kid in eigth grade(my school is kindergarden-12th grade) who is pretty good. but it would be awesome to get one started. plus my athletic director loves me cause im on the hockey team and hes obsessed with hockey.
