Need some help, my friend got a new icon x, the gun was bought last weekend and was shooting fine and now wont recock after being fired.
Ive taken the gun apart and cleaned it, put two different fully charged co2 bottles and it is still doing the same thing.

It had been shooting fine on C02, another kid had an identical iconx and he has had no problems with co2. I guess Ill just go ahead and tear it down further maybe an overfilled co2 bottle has blown an oring somwhere. O'well I was hoping for a quick fix. If I cant find the problem I guess he can take it back since he just bought it saturday.

Recocking issues aue 90%+ o-rings. What kind of oil are you using on it? Get some 100% synthetic paintball oil and lube the rings, especially the hammer (1-2 drops on the hammer o-ring).

so get a new gun... you'd only be losing like $1

After looking at this pile of crap I think you would be right, I think he said his mom paid about $70 for this thing, whats really sad is my two kids have JT Tac5's and they have ran circles around these things, and they are supposed to be junk but we havn't had any problems after about 10,000 balls.
I tried to get him to let me find a nice used tippy or autococker for under $100 but he wanted this little bling gun instead, I hope they take it back.
Anyway Im trying to help the kid out, his dad is a good guy but has 0% skills with anything mechanicle. Ive cleaned and oiled it for the 4th time and changed the orings and it shot fine for about 15 shots then went back to not recocking.

try some lube on the bolt, make sure bolt orings are good and not chipped and same with the hammer

Change out the hammer oring with a new one. Some Icon X markers had a slightly undersized oring on the hammer. If you have a buna(black) oring, try that out. Most likely that will fix the problem.
