Whats the differnece between 2nd & 3rd gen?

Ok I might be trading guns, but the Quest im looking at is a 2nd gen. It has a "chipped board" instead of a WAS. Whats the difference in boards, and also are there any other differneces? Thanks...

the board is the only difference and most people dont like either boards at all, i think the chip board is ok.

Whats the differnece, and whats wrong with them? As long as they got Semi and PSP mode, what else would u want?
