Take apart the whole gun(I'm sure you know how) and check every o-ring. Also, check the reg 4 leaks. if you still cant find the problem send it to FEP. I hope I helped!

Also check the bolt for leaks.

Yeah, I have the same thing on my gen3 Quest. I was having troubles the whole day on Sunday with it and never got it to work. I finally took the whole thing apart cleaned it out/lubed it and everything (all o-rings were fine). I finally got it to shoot and shot amazing at 295 consistently. I took it home and cleaned it out again then aired it up, I noticed a very tiny leak coming fro the feedneck/eyes/down the barrel/(now that I read this LPR section. My Quest is shooting at 55 psi right now, so I will go turn it up to 80-90 and see when it goes away.
Thanks Physcojosh, you saved me.

My Pleasure, The ONLY quests that should be shooting at 55 are the BONEBREAK mod'ed.. and that was a Quick Fad.. Most People like 99/100 should be shooting in the 100-80 lpr Range, NO more or NO less.

Ok, just got back. I put it up to about 95-100 and leaking is gone for the most part. If it is silent and you stick you head up to the gun you can hear the tiniest leak I have ever heard. For the most part doesnt matter. But if I have any issues I'll put on new o-rings and/or bring it in to CPS.
btw-if I brought my Quest to the FEP booth at Bakersfields XPSL on Friday, would they be cool wit teching it and just having it shoot nicer (basically whatevr they need to do to make it shoot its best)? And if they could, could they get it down on the spot or at least have it done by Sat?
^^^^^I still have my blank warrenty card if that matters.
Thanks again.

how do i take the lpr valve out its like kinda stuck
LU_aDaK
01-16-2007, 09:12 PM
its a twist, BUT BE VERY CAREFUL
aznpaintball111
01-16-2007, 09:15 PM
how do i be carefull do i just pull it out and twist a little? and what do i use plyers?
Zeoalex
01-16-2007, 09:22 PM
i believe the best way to get the valve is to go to the local auto parts store, and get a schrader valve removal tool. And I believe that the valve is a schrader valve which you can also get at the same store. if it is, then you should bring the valve in so you can get the right size.
correct me if I am wrong
aznpaintball111
01-16-2007, 09:25 PM
how can i take it out without that tool thing
heres an easy way screw the lpr into the body then remove the barrel grabbed the lpr and twist using some pressure and it should unscrew
aznpaintball111
01-16-2007, 09:42 PM
the lpr VALVE!
Zeoalex
01-16-2007, 09:45 PM
if you get the tool, its very straight foward, the end has a large slot where you put the valve in...did that make sense, its kinda hard to explain.
aznpaintball111
01-16-2007, 09:47 PM
yes i know what tool y our talking about but is there any other way?
and shoudl i replace this? sorry for the bad pic but you can tell the middle and end is kinda bending

im not sure about the replacing and such, but i dont think it could hurt. also, i guess you could always use needlenose pliers, but there is too much room for error there. huzzah, just remembered, on my old borg, i removed mine with a pair of tweezers, but the valve tool is your best bet

according to the animation, a leak down the barrel can be caused by 2 orings, the front bolt oring, or the front bolt pin oring. you should be able to narrow it down by determining where exactly the leak is coming from.
Stick your finger in to the feedneck and lightly cover the bolt face. If you feel pressure against your finger the leak is coming from through the bolt. if you don't feel any pressure, the leak is coming from around the bolt.
If the leak is coming through the bolt, the problem is the front bolt pin oring. Clean, relube, or replace. dont forget to clean the groove and check the groove for cracks as well
If the leak is coming from around the bolt, the problem is the front bolt oring. Check for damage, Clean, relube, replace.
correct me if i am wrong.
