i have a crossfire 4500 psi tank and i am getting a quest soon...
when i used this tank on an ion it blew 3 macro lines in one day and screwed upmy on off and i was wondering if i should use another tank on the quest or if this would be fine...

Well macrolines are standard fittings across the board, so whatever screwed them up the first time will this time as well. There shouldn't be any tank "blowing macrolines". What do you mean by that, exactly, is the macroline coming out of the fitting, or is it actually rupturing?

dude i've used b oth HP and LP on my quest no problem, and a variety of brands too. i've also used them on an ion and no problem so maybe ur ion is just a lemon.

when i said broke macro lines io meant that it actually blew a hole in the line then it did something and there is a major leak in the silenoid.. so i am not sure about using it

im guessing it was defective macro line or something. I have a stubby on my quest right now...its LP but still macro shouldnt blow. as far as the ion noid problem..overpresurised is my guess

i dont think it was a faulty macro line casue it blew three of them... and i think the tank is high pressure it doesnt say but the corossfire logo is red and the part that says 4500 psi is red too but idk

Even if it is high pressure, it should not be blowing holes in macroline (unless you're using really crappy/defective macroline). I would deem that tank unsafe and never use it again unless you get a new tank reg. The SP Maxflow micro is pretty nice, or you could just sacrifice the tank to the tank god.

umm its not the macro. macro line can have pressure up to what, 1500psi i think. your tank will go 800psi max. so this is either shens or you got your story wrong

so i guess this is an ok place to ask this, its kinda on topic...

zeo.....the questions been asked many times before....and it doesnt matter if you use hp or lp, they both work fine. the lp MIGHT get you some better consistency at the end of your tank.

Don't use the tank again until inspected by a qualified inspector, whether that be at your local shop or sending it directly to crossfire. sounds like your reg is rubbish.

This is either: shenanigans (http://www.maj.com/gallery/jive364/avatars/shenanigans.jpg)
Or, like I did with my wrath, the reg in line before the line is bad. I got the input/gauge ports mixed up on my torpedo clone, and it put about 800 psi into my wrath, blowing the solenoid, and the LP hose. Get your tank looked at is what I'm trying to say, sounds like its putting out way too much pressure.
