Well, you guys convinced me to get one of these amazingly light and good guns. I can't wait, but before I get one, I need to know a few things.
1. I read the manual and it said use DOW 55 Lubricant, but I have a ton of Sl33k lube and is that not ok to use?
2. How much is the price for a brand new Quest in the Coffin, because I've seen anything from $699-$750
3. Do you guys have breaks? At all or occasionally?
4. Would I need anything new on the Quest? Besides a rail and asa on/off of course, that seems to be the only downside.
Every comment is much appreciated, but please, no flaming, I'm brand new to the FEP community. I was going to buy a Shocker but I held a Quest before I held an NXT, and I guess that's a good thing because the Quest was SO much lighter.

First things first. If you are buying directly from us then you cannot buy a polished or anything in a coffin. We only do dust now (popularity) and decided to back away from the coffins for now. We have also started including our Classic Rail and Classic ASA stock on the marker. But if you have the option at a store to get a polished one then I would get the black polished.
1. You can use any of the popular greases on the market today. We started out with Dow 55 so that is why it is in our manual. Since then we have switched to using Hater Sauce which works extremely well in all conditions and is highly recomended by just about everyone that uses it.
2. MSRP for a new Quest is $795. If you can get it lower then by all means do.
3. The only time I personally have ever had breaks is when it was 20 degrees, and my paint was at the same temp. To answer your question better I would say that the MARKER usually isn't the cause for breakage.
4. Answered this in the first section. If your getting a polished then you most likely will not have a rail and ASA come with it. You can purchase ours from our website.
Also most people on this forum work or go to school and will check throughout the day. I know that most of the regulars are eather not up or at work though so please give it a day and you will have more than enough answers to make your decision.

1. Dow 33 will be fine, but they come with Hater Sauce which is better in my opinion.
2. They can range from $749 to $699 depending on where to go.
3. No with the LPR being able to run low, you will not experience chops or breaks in your barrel. This is also because chops are not caused by your marker, they are caused by a slow hopper. Breaks are from a mismatch of paint and bore match.
4. There are upgrades yes, as in the Goldmember Bolt, and other pieces of equipment but they are not needed. If I were you I would just get the ASA, Goldmemeber Bolt, and maybe the Lucky Spitfire board, and you will be set. These are not needed except for the ASA, but they mae the marker easier to use.

1. Use Hater v.2, I just bought some for like what, 16.50? shipped. The container will last you forever and definately runs well with the Quest.
2. At about 3 months ago, they were at 900$, then about 1 month ago, I saw them at 700$ (I guess competing with NXTs), and now I see them go for 750$ everywhere.
3. The first time I played with it, it did shop a lot. BUT it was due to my hopper not keeping up with it (like they said above). Once you do get a shop, make sure you clean out the WHOLE barrel, eyes, breech, take out the bolt and put a squeegy (SP?) through it, and sometimes even in the feedneck. But for now, no, it never shops.
4. No, it is fine stock. Mine right now only has a Hybrid rail and XSV on/off (which you need of some sort). I am goin to go pick up a Lucky board and GM bolt (I have a 45/45, need the air) pretty soon to make it nicer, but you do not need these.
FEPGorilla - I am PMing you now about the polished/dusted matter.

The guys above have pretty much answered your question. I'm running a dust black Quest. It's totally understated, which is the way I like to run. No flash, just mowing faces.

I just got my quest a few weeks ago and I have had absolutely no problems with it, no breaks or anything. So far I have chopped one ball, but my quest after 10 shots was shooting like nothing had happened-checked the breech after the game and was shocked to find nothing but residue in the chamber lol self cleans very well. Also as they said above, you need no upgrades for this marker- the goldmember and snatch pin I recommend, but aren't needed
hope you enjoy your Quest as much as I do!

what the Gorilla Said :P
Id say Black Polished, Mostly since it goes with well with Everything.
and there are NO ups Required. Some Things you may want might be a Snatch Pin and Goldmember. The Snatch Pin will Cut Maintainece time in Half <No looking for Allens> and the Goldmember Should give you 1-2 Extra Pods <Varies untill Broken In>
I Hear Good Thing for the Lucky Spitfire... But like i said, All Optional.

Ok, well thanks! All responses have been helpful, but, if they don't come in the coffin or in gloss then what box do they come in, I can overcome the color but I love that coffin =]
EDIT: and what does the whole package come with?

I am liking my gun so far.
Upgrades? Do not really need them but...
1. Great paint, all guns shoot better with HIGH quality paint
2. Hater Sauce V.2
3. Snatch pin
4. barrels with different bores
5. Lucky Spitfire Chip. (Really enjoying mine, great if you have to switch between PSP and NPPL a good bit)

The newer dust quests from FEP (not some already at National) will come in a white square box fep logo's all around. The quests in this box should be shipping with a rail and asa matched to the gun.
Buy the gun, you'll love it..

Thanks guys for all of your posts. To KMA, no thanks because I prefer to stay local because I kinda don't tell my parents I buy new guns, I just tell them I get new body kits, and if I ordered one it would kinda screw me over. So yeah, but otherwise I would've.
