tech my quest??

I am having a lot of trouble getting my quest right. It is kicking like mad when I do get it set. I can get it shooting for about 5 shots and then it just "puffs" and no paint is shot. I know a lot about most guns, I thought, but everything I have tried just won't work. I already broke my goldmember once and I don't want to mess anything else up. If anyone knows what is wrong, please help. I am at the point now where I would be willing to ship it out to someone who knows what they are doing.

My gun also won't shoot with the lpr below 100 psi, idk why. The hpr is at 3 threads in, dwell is at 8, and it has a was board. I was using an adjustable tank with 550 output, but I am getting a new cp tank with 750 output.

If I left something out just ask and I will try to answer back asap.

And the batteries were brand new out of the box too

hmm If you Need it Fixed That Bad, Call Fep, Im sure you can send it into them and they will Take a Look.

It not shooting Under 100 Psi could be do to a Faulty Lpr Spring.

Sounds like you Need to Relube it, or Raise the Dwell Up a little bit. set it at 12 and work your way down.

I put a fresh coat of hatersauce v2 in it before even airing it up. And I just got a replacement bolt in from fep and it took a lil longer than I would want.
great customer service tho.

Dwell, Raise it.

untill it gets Broken in you wont be able to get it much under 100 Psi.

is it suppoed to be kicking harder than any gun I have ever felt in my life? Or is that just mine.

And is it okay to raise the dwell with the goldmember bolt?

What I would do.

Check Bolt/guides Orings and Well Relube.
Set Lpr to 100
Cut out HPR, And Slowly Adjust it untill it Starts shooting.You'll Know When you have to little air, It Wont Fully Reset, and you make get Leak from the Grip Frame, Slowly Raise it past the leak...
Reset the Was Board to Factory Settings.

If that doesnt work Raise Dwell up to 10, and Abs Up a little.

All else fails, Send to FEP

anytime. seeing as how you got it used, you also inherited the Previous Owners Settings, its always good to Reset the Board..

it was suppoed to be new. He sdaid it was on the wall at the shop

yes I did. I think it was a setting off or something. I reset the board and upped my tank input pressure to 750 and it shot great. I shot two hoppers out of it ;)

The lpr is still right on 100 psi and it is still kicking but nothing like it was. I am hoping once I get it broken in, it will lessen the kick a little bit. But still, as of right now, the quest kicks MUCH harder than my angel, or timmy, or even spyder has.

No Problem.. The Kick Is Odd... It should Subside when it Breaks in more.. but still sounds like your shooting Hot...

yea I kinda think so too. I was shooting bark clean off of the tree. lol

I don't have a chrono tho so it'll wait till i go to a field. But, unfortunately, that won't be untill at earliest the 17th because my cp tank won't be in until then :( I am so ready to play with the quest now I can't stand it.

haha Ya, Im gonna say you are shooting Hot. you Cant go by sound, since the Quest tends to Be Loud Without paint... but when it gets all Broken in Etc, It should be Much better.
