only thing you could do on such short notice is to find someone that can solder stuff fairly well. Solder the connection back to its original state, then after the tourney, call up FEP.

I had the same problem with mine too. The black wire for my battery broke off so i just solder it to the back of the board. It dont void your warrenty either. Mine just got back from FEP cause i had a stripped feedneck and they never said anything about my soldering....

The wiring harnesses that come with the WAS boards suck. They use small gauge wire, when they should have used a thinker gauge. I've been told that the new Lucky boards have better harnesses when they start to ship. CPS is going down later on this week to pick some up, so I'll know when I get one in my hand.
As far as the battery harness goes, all you can really do it push the wire back in the plug until it makes contact and works. Put some tape on it to keep it in until you can get a new one from FEP. Unless you have a crimper, you're not going to really be able to fix it properly. I wouldn't really mess with soldering it to the board itself, since it's not easy to do and if you get too much solder in the plug you can bridge the two contact points and short out your board (ya I'm guilty of it myself).
I've been through 5 WAS boards and 2 stock boards already in my marker. I'm so hoping the Lucky boards are better.
