Walk the fields really well and find the blind shots, you can do alot of damage to their front guys as you move up. Don't be afraid to look over the top and shoot some players in the side.

Number one way to play a snake,,,,when ya get in, don't stop, get to the end before the other team fills it.

Crawl, dive in. If you're playing tourny, drag your pack after you.

Dude, most air ball snakes aren't low enough to force you to take your pack off. The only times I remember seeing people take their packs off during games were 1) In PUSH the video were they had some really old *** hyperball field snake. 2) In Sunday Drivers the video were once again they had old *** hyper ball fields. 3) Once when this guy was just acting stupid. 4) A front guy got watsed and the mid/insert player filled the snake and he needed to take off his pack because it was too big.
The only way I could imagine taking your pack off being helpful is; when you want to get up on your knees in the snake to do a quick crawl or shoot over the top.
It's just way more trouble then it's worth. Besides if you are a front player, you should have a tiny little comfortable pack anyway (good packs for front players are Extreme Rage 3+2, or the Redz 3+2). You shouldn't be carring more than 5 pods and that should stay nice and close to your body so it won't stick up that much, just watch for your flaps because those will act like little flags and tell everyone where you are.

One more thing to mention about gear, is that you should invest in some good knee and elbow pads. Oh GOD, do you ever need elbow pads!!!!!! It super sucks diving in to a snake bare elbowed, unless you're on grass then it might be cool, but if you're playing on a hard dirt surface (especially the hard *** SC Village clay type stuff) the you're going to need pads out the arrrrssssss.

Make sure not to use a drop. It just makes your gun super tall and harder to keep under the top.

LOL, nobody on the face of the planet should have a drop THAT BIG!

Yeah, hyperball snakes tend to be pretty low. I prefer ghettos :)

I <3 snakes, you get many diff, angles. If you get to the end of the snake unseen, you win the game =P.

if you have a straight shot on a lanyard and you stuff it in the back of your pack.... make sure its in there good so its not likea little flag saying exactly where the back players should lay fire on........ and you should have a stupid drop anyways lol
