Icon E Issues

Lastnight me n some friends played some indoor speedball but my gun was giving me a hard time as i ran into a few problems throughout the night. To start off...

1. My velocity topped out at 230 FPS. (seems quite low)

2. A few times my bolt wouldnt cock all the way back so I had to manually do it myself.

3. One time I had to pretty much use all my strength just to cock it back. Then the first shot after I finally cocked it was very weak.

Im not a pro or anything but my guess is I have some air issues and some tightening I have to do so if anyone has any suggestions on any thing specific that I might need to do I would appreciate it a lot Thanks.

3. you probably chopped a ball. what hopper are you using?

i suggest you clean your gun very well. when was the last time you did it?

im using just a basic hopper, which is definetly why my balls jam up.

I took the gun apart today and cleaned and lubed everything,but I noticed when I got to the cup seal area there is a part that has 2 o-rings and one of them was broken so I think that might have been the reason for a lot of my problems.

2 always happens when you use co2, get a cheap 60$ air tank and problem solved
1 adjust your velocity, and if it wont go higher buy new springs

yea ive been reading a lot of threads and it seems all the Icon owners get spring and/or shim kits so i guess its my turn now. Thanks guys

i dont have an icon. i have a spyder pilot. icons are spyder clones :P
that part would be the valve and it might help considering icons are blowback guns, and if air doesnt fully go thru the valve it wont recock it right, so get a new o ring. also lubing the striker(the little black thing in the lower tube that connects to the bolt) will help. deff get a new spring, the one in the icon is crap, and also yea ur right with getting a bigger shim.

some new o-rings would be good...but since ive cleaned tightened, and lubed everything my Icon E is running nicely...thanks for all the help guys.:D
