Ok since I'm struggling to get a battery harness I came up with a new idea: Why not put an 06 cyborg board in my quest?

Now I've heard whispers about this every once in a while and by no means is it an original idea.. Can anyone help me out with this though? What exactly is going to have to be done with the eyes? How will the microswitch fit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

The microswitch will have to be more or less a custom mount and the eyes will have to be made to order as well. That's not all that hard though. What *will* be hard is getting a power switch mounted, which will require milling to the grip frame.

I thought about that one.. I figured I could POSSIBLY find a push button switch to be mounted right there.

Good ideas though.. thanks a lot

The whole point is that I don't have that have the money to drop on a new board. Also, a new board is not going to give me a battery harness.. And no one can help me with the quest harness. Fortunately I have help with making a borg style harness in there.

No they do not have any available and do not know when anymore will become available. Thus, I have to find my own ways to make this bad boy work. I cannot play until this gun works.

you may have better luck getting a dm4/5/c board to work in the quest. atleast the solenoids are the same.

The borg board is free. From everything I've heard so far, the noid won't be a problem. I'm more worried about they eyes and on/off button at this point. The microswitch won't be too hard.

I would suggest voided warranty forum since that is what your doing.

Why not just put the stock borg power switch in the same place on the Quest frame? It may not be recessed in the frame like on the borg, but it will be out of the way, and a pretty clean look.
As for the eyes, could you just use the stock quest eyes, and splice the wires into the stock borg eye wires. That way you wouldn't have to try and come up with the connectors.
Will the borgs board actually fit into the quests grip frame? I don't know.....never messed with a borg.
I know dbnpaintball.com has 25 and 80 gram switches.....so there maybe a switch for you. Just soldier your borgs switch wires to it. I don't know how you would mount the switch though.

It'll fit.

As for the on/off switch, I will most likely cut a hole in the grips and somehow put the switch in place.

Most of the ideas are in place and the ball is rolling to make it work. I look forward to posting a final, working product.

I too would like to see a finished setup. I don't have my quest anymore, but I always like to tinker....

Board is mounted and waiting for eyes, microswitch, and harness. So far, so good.
