ok, i just bought my quest today and i love it,the settings were perfect because it was pro owned by avery of FEP...probably one of, if not the best shooting gun ive shot..when i got home today i lubed the reg, but didnt take notice to which way the HPR washer(gold washer in the reg) went in...im not sure if it matters but which side of the washer should be facing the top of the reg(towards the barrel) and which side should be facing the bottom(towards the hpr adjuster)
thanks

Check out the stickies. They have detailed technical pics of the reg taken apart and how the parts go back together.

i have the same question!
My question is how do I get the piston out of the reg.I tried pulling from the bottom and it wouldn't come and I tried pushing from the top and nothing moved.
Maby Dale or Rich will see this and set all of us straight.

My washer is completely flat, with a small hole in the middle, how can you tell one side from the other?
tom, piston should come out by pulling, small set of needle nose works well for me

Merry Christmas. You have to pull pretty hard to get the piston out. Doesn't really matter which way you put the washer back in.
