do you guys think its possible? i know grem did some minor milling to his body but im talking a real overhaul, im really not looking to lighten the body, though i know it will become lighter after its milled, i just think that the factory milling is ugly.

ive been wondering the same thing. I wouldnt expect to be able to take much more of it off, because the body is pretty thin already but i think u could get a couple ounces off of it.

no, i highly doubt that you can mill it anymore than what gremlin did, mainly because of how small the body already is. maybe a little work to the trigger frame if you dont like that, but the body is pretty much set, exceot for what gremlin did.

Trust me Not much more can be done that what K&P did for me. The body in my thread was actualy a brand new body that I had to buy after we cut a little to deep on my quests body and ended up with a nice leak out the sid of the body (aka broke through the body)

There are areas on the body that have some meat left but the factory milling left very, very little meat to play with

maybe u could get a solid chunk of aluminum or whutever the bodys made of and then figure out the screw settings and frame things blah blah and then u would have alot to work with
idk just a thought

You could but then you are looking at one hell of a huge cost. Doing a one off body froma chunk of aluminum is going to cost you over $500. Depending on the machinest you are looking at any where between $30 an hour to $100 an hour.

not to mention it would most likely end up weighing MORE than the stock body. look at the pl shockers. they have cool ass milling but generally weigh more than the stock because they use raw blanks to be able to do what they do.
which if you ask me sort of defeats the whole purpose. as grem said, there is VERY little of the stock body that CAN be milled. and the cost is rather prohibitive to do a one off from a solid blank.

iam looking into doing one i have access to a 3d 6 axis cnc mill so if anyone wants to help with some inspiration make a sketch or something and post it up and if anyone has the body already in CAD that would save me so much time and i would even make u a body for the cost of the aluminum if you could provide it

hmm, 4 axis cnc mill can get to 4 sides of a part.
5 axis cnc mill can get to 5 sides of a part,

what is this one of a kind 6 axis cnc milll you speak of.

been cnc machining for a long time havent seen one of these...

titanium would be unreal...minus the insane cost of the raw titanium along with the fact that I would put my money on the fact that machining the titanium is also horendously expensive....

But wieght and durability would be unmatched.....We need Bill Gates to make a pure titanium marker....ooooo
