For those of you with chopping or hopper blowback issues, please drop an e-mail to info@actionmarkers.com. We'll need your name , address , marker serial number , and you're current set up as far as air source ( so we can further pin down the issue ). You must have returned your warranty card for this also. If you did not receive a warranty card you will be mailed one upon request.
What do you get? A slightly shorter exhaust valve pin. This allows the bolt to travel slightly further forward eliminating the blowback issue that results in the chopping. The reason we haven't seen it on the team guns is that we all either run mid-pressure HPA systems. Also they have all had internal work done to them by me to further smooth and stabilize them.
As always I am availble on AIM at CrashSTP or by e-mail at rjlanstrum@bright.net or You can call the factory at 1-866-478-2255

I just bought a used Sentinel TS, and it should arrive in the mail tomorrow, so I guess I am technically a member of the Sentinel family yet. Hopefully, I will never need any support for the gun. However, I take my hat off to Crash and Action Markers for their support. With Crash keeping his finger on the pulse here (and elsewhere, I would bet), Action is making a statement that they are interested in keeping us users happy with their product and that they want our return business. With some others, it seems like the first sale is the only sale in which the manufacturer is interested.

Really impressive Crash and Action. Your future looks bright.

Hey Crash, I got the package in the mail today - AWESOME CD by the way, those videos are sweet! Lol seeing the gun get run over by a jeep is awesome - anyway...how should I go about installing this thing?

Just unscrew the entire velocity adjuster thing. The part that sticks out under the barrel (called a low pressure chamber on spyders). Once you unscrew it you will see a spring and a one piece cup seal and valve pin. Just replace that with the new one and reassemble the gun.

ChiefBowman - thanks for the reminder - please PM here on PbNation - You got caught in my virus checker - PM me the info I need ( serial number, current set-up, name ,address) and I'll get it out to you.
I believe this is why you didn't get a response from the factory too.
Thanks,
Bob

I got my package today. The CD is sweet
I put in the new pin and just dry fired a couple of shots with a piece of toilet paper over the feed to test for blow-back. There is virtually none. Before the toilet paper would fly up and if I held it over the feed the air would rip holes in it. Now it barely moves. Ill give you guys more detailed results tomorrow, when I test it with some paint. But so far, good job AM!

Yeah I got mine too with that sweet CD. A word of advice, drop some oil into the ASA and dry fire it a bit more before you go with paint. Mine was double firing, but I didn't have a chrono and I think the velocity was pretty high. I lowered the velocity and fed it some oil and now it works awesome. The blowback problem is solved! Woohooo!

Yeah I finished off testing it today, its F'n sweet. I was double firing at first, so I lowered the velocity to a non-lethal level, and went thru about 300 shots without a problem!

I just tested mine with old paint, temp outside is in the 20s. It performed flawlessly, no breaks or chops, just one skipped shot. I shot off 100 shots in 3 round bursts almost as fast as I possibly could. This new valve pin is amazing, thanks Crash!

No problem guys - sorry it took so long - We had to get one in our hands to figure out and test the solution.

What is the solution for the chopping? I had several severe chops this weekend, one so bad it wedged shell between the bolt and the chamber, i had to puch it out with my battle swab. I noticed that when a ball drops in the chamber it can rattle around quite a bit between the bolt and the detent. This may be allowing the ball to ride up slightly before it passes the feed tube opening causing it to chop the top off the ball. Is it possible a slightly longer bolt is needed, the bolt face is back far enough to allow 3-4mm of ball travel from the detents to bolt face.:xeyed:

That's what the fix does, the new valve pin allows the bolt to travel all the way foward, which eliminates blowback into the VF, and the problem that you mentioned. Get it from AM as soon as you can man, trust me - it works wonders.

We are completly OK with you uploading the CD. It might be a bit big for a lot of people to download -- the images and videos are all uncompressed I think. Let me know your site -- I would like to see how it turns out.

Thanks a lot Crash for hooking me up with the valve pin and the CD. Those videos are cool! Action Markers has the best customer service I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.

I just received an older model sentinel with no anno and no serial number and no warranty card. I am currently running it with a 4500 pmi high pressure tank and have a good deal of blowback. How can I get the new valve pin?
