Ok all I am at my minds edge here, really I am. I need some help here.
For queit some time now I have been looking to get either a Phantom, or a Sniper 2, both have extreme advantages....so now what?
I have autococker using friends that will sell me a Dye SS and the inline reg for the cocker/sniper2 for about $50. I have enough money to get nitro, my question is should I?

I currently have $367.00 to work with what do you all think ?

well to bad you didnt see that i was selling my set up like a week ago but i decided to keep it cause i love it soooo much!
-Sniper 2
-Dye SS
-Reg
-Nitro
sounds really good! the only other thing i would change would be like a lighter barrel(cobra or cp down the road) and then a trigger frame!
rember if you dont like it(which you should have no reason to) you could always end up trading it or selling later! since they are nice guns!

snipers are light but sniprs have an endless upgrade path. Go for the Sniper

I like the phantom, the sterling and the sniper II al very much. The sterling lacks the quality which makes the phantom such a good gun, and it thus overpriced imho. Nice gun and great to use, but given the choice I would rather go for the sniper II.
The phantom is also a very nice pump which I own and cherish, but I also like the sniper II a lot too. I don't like how the aniper II doesnt have an autotrigger, but I have heard there are autotriggering kits for it, and I definetly like the sheridan valving system the sniper II posesses which allows much higher cycling rates (not a problem w/ pumps) and generally smoother operation and ability to go much lower pressure.
Despite the fact that I have a phantom, if I could have started over I would have probably gone with the sniper II. DONT get me wrong, though, I love the phantom a lot too. It really depends on your style, though. If you want to play stock class, go with the phantom, if you want to learn with a pump and really impress people, both the sniper II and the phantom would be good choices. I personally haev the best of both worlds and I have a ghetto SC feed on my RF of my phantom which holds 17 balls, so I can lay the paint and I don't have to worry about rocking to load.

I would have to say I STILL want pureluck's sniper II. Almost enough to trade my awesome phantom for it, but I like my phantom too much and I have put too much time and effort into it. I say go with teh sniper II provided the setting.

Well first off, don't back out of a deal you already made, that's just not the right thing to do. It's not like you'll hate the phantom or anything, its as much of a gun as the sniper II is, but they are different. If you like pump play, I would recommend the phantom or better yet, a carter/buzzard and the like if you like that kind of stuff.
But if you want to do something OTHER than pump, not is the time. I personally saved up a little money and got a nova 700 which is in the mail now! I will still like my phantom and have it for quite a long time. cya
